Bad, really really bad, unfortunately.
I won't spoil you of course but to give you an impression of how bad it is, if currently Mikasa and Eren were talking a walk in the park and random dog appeared and Eren was like "Hey, come here dogie. What a nice dog!" Mikasa would most probably be like "Dog, give Eren back. Give him back! Now!"

To be honest I'd say it's the opposite.
Mikasa loses her focus more when he's in trouble than she shines. Look st what happened in the battle for trost.
She wrecked titans, but lost all of her gas.
She's easily the most naturally talented human fighter, but she lacks Rivaille's raw experience which makes him better for the meantime. Once she manages to lock down when Even is in trouble...she'll be far better off.
Oh and @oShux... I feel you with Jean. He's someone who is probably the easiest to relate to. I kinda disliked him, but after he gave the orders to get in the building I like him more and more!
Edit: A tad off topic, but should I use the Black and White version of my Sig to have more of an Attack on Titan vibe?!
IKR its sooo weird AoT is like the odd anime out all the females are BADASS lol
Its up to you, id probably change it your current one gives off a "kiddy super hero vibe" lol

Do you have a link to this popularity poll? It might help as a source of your information. 
Mostly because the list is like that is because it's a shounen anime. And as a shounen anime, it will tend to have a large female audience who like the more badass males or have a lot of depth and meaning to their characters. Hence why Levi is placed first, Jean as second and why Marco is as high as he is. I really can't give a number as to all the JeanMarco shippers I've seen, there's a lot of them. Also Marco is known as freckled Jesus for some reason, but yeah. xD
Armin is fourth because he's a great character, and most fans including myself will tell you that. He really isn't as useless as a lot of people think, when you think about what he was capable of doing. I mean he was able to do stuff even Mikasa wasn't capable of, I suppose that shows how great he is.
But to stick with the topic at hand and to whom my favourites are, Reiner and Hanji.
