Well maybe danzos sharingan is just that-his own sharingan, and he damaged it and lost the other one, and simply has a glass eye or transplanted a standard eye from any nobody, and the sharingan he has isn't actually transplanted at all but his own.

Maybe that was the deal he made with orochimaru also, as danzo was well in with orochimaru.

Maybe orochimaru was allowed to experiment on sharingan in exchange for a cure to his damaged eye.

I just think it's a massive assumption to assume the sharingan he has is transplanted.

It is rather well known Uchihas planned a coup, it is quite feasible itachi wasnt the first uchiha spy and that danzo is an Uchiha, just likes konoha and wants to save it

Hmm...well I highly doubt that his "normal" eye is fake or transplanted since there are no scars or anything around it to suggest that. However we've not seen the rest of Danzou's right side of his face, so its plausible to assume there's some damage/scarring there, suggesting a transplanted Sharingan.

My main point is most people think danzo is tobi because danzo LOOKS like tobi, ergo danzo looks like an UCHIHA, according to many fans, therefore it is not too out there to state danzo may be an uchiha.

this has been said inside another topic but ill say my theory,

danzou is Uchiha Fugaku (or the other way around) one of the two being a false identity

both identities were in positions of power unkown to the other organization, danzou identity an elder, fugaku identity a leader in the uchiha clan

he planned both the uprising and the massacre to ensure that he could take power, (massacre only if konoha found out about the uprising)

and finally how it pertains to this topic:

both eyes are sharingan (note he did not show the other eye during combat)

if you will notice the sharingan are not always on, sometimes they look normal,

the reason he covers his right eye (left side looking at him) is that during the massacre when he was faking his death it did get damaged, permanently sticking it in the sharingan form

and he covers it to help conserve chakra (like kakashi)

If danzo is an uchiha and doesnt want anyone to know-he's gonna hide the proof, ergo, his sharingan.

What he means, is that an Uchiha can turn their Sharingan on or off.
Look at Sasuke and Itachi as examples. There eyes aren't constantly that blood-red colour, unless they're intentionally using Sharingan. Other times, there eyes are normal.

If Danzo was an Uchiha, he'd be able to simply "turn off" his Sharingan, like those two, and have no need to hide his eye under bandages.

Though arguably, his face may have still been injured.
