Well, it's still a way above par series, you can't deny that just because you hate some new designs. Anyways, any of you competitive/semi-competitive trainers remember what the absolute terror the move Earthquake was? Oh my god. Knowing your friend had it and your flying type(s) were eliminated.. it was like "shitshitshitshitshitshitshit"

THS pokemon is cool!!!If you're planning on watching the actual 'anime', then no. The game itself...it just hasn't got that ethnic feel anymore. The graphics have moved onto something that is trying way too hard to look like a legitimate '3D game' (I'm talking about XY here, aka gen 6) I'm not particularly a fan of that. ._. The new pokemon actually look kinda appealing imo. u_u

1. if you take a look at each starter there's a resemblance to a Species or a family.
Charizard - Lizard/Dragon
Typhlosion - Volcanic rodent
Blaziken - Chicken/Rooster
Infernape - Fire Ape/Monkey
Emboar - Roasted Pig
Year of the Rat - Typhlosion the Volcanic Rat
Year of the Dragon - Charizard
Year of the Pig - Emboar
Year of the Monkey - Infernape
Year of the Rooster - Blaziken
Fire Types resemble the Years.
Venusaur - The plant dinosaur
Meganium - the Long neck dinosaur
Sceptile - this pokemon is suppose to represent Leaf eaters.
Torterra - Turtle/dinosaur
Serperior - Snake
Grass pokemon represent the past animals like dinosaurs etc. Leaf eaters.
Blastoise - Turtle
Feralligatr - Alligator
Swampert - fish
Empoleon - Penguin
Samurott - dog/fish
represent Creatures that dwell in the waters such as Amphibians, and mammals etc.
