I would rank Part 1 Kakashi a low S-rank ninja.
Kakashi's Ninjutsu was easily S-rank level. He was able to perform Lightning, Water, and Earth techniques. That's three elements, most Akatsuki/ninja in general don't even have that. He was also able to perform the S-rank technique Lightning Blade.
His Taijutsu was also at a high level, being a 4/5 which is the average among the Akatsuki. With his 3 tomoe Sharingan, it helped him in CQC significantly more.
His Genjutsu was also very good thanks to his Sharingan. With his Sharingan, he can also counter Genjutsu used on him.
Kakashi, unlike most ninjas, had strong Tai, Nin, and Gen jutsu. Usually ninja, even S-rank ninja just have strong Tai and Nin jutsu. Not only that but he possessed the Sharingan, which enhances his abilities greatly and is very rare.
Kakashi's intelligence was definitely S-rank level, being one of the best strategist shown so far in the series.
His strength is average among the Akatsuki, matching Sasori, Deidara, Itachi, and Orochimaru.
His speed was average among Akatsuki.
His chakra was 3/5 according to the data book so pretty decent, but low in comparison to S-rank ninja. This is basically Kakashi's only weakness.
His hand seals were definitely S-rank as well, being a 5/5 according to the data book. That's the highest among the Akatsuki and the Sannin.
His hype also backs up his skill. Being called Copy Ninja Kakashi and Kakashi of the Sharingan, he was said to have copied over 1000 jutsu, that's insane. He went through the ranks as a kid very fast, being a jounin around Part 1 Naruto's age. He was also an Anbu for a long time, and one of the best of Konoha.
To me, I think it's clear Kakashi was S-rank.,

In my "What would you rank Zabuza?" thread, the highest vote was low S-rank and Kakashi was said to be around Zabuza's level so I think Kakashi's low S-rank right up there with Zabuza.Thoughts?
