when a film maker decides to do a remake. i read comments saying its going to be the same why do a remake? the movie comes out and its different. then i read comments coming from the same people sometimes saying they didnt like it because it strayed from the original. take the evil dead and man of steel for example good remakes in my opinion but they were flamed for being original

people complained they were going to see the same ole goody two shoe superman, instead we get this confused cominb to his own hero and people say they dont like it and what happened to the superman they grew up loving.

i understand theres no pointing arguing about as it will change nothing. i wanted to share this thought and see what others felt about it and maybe read an intelligent opinion

The problem with superman was the ending

He killed. Supes doesn't kill and Batman doesn't kill. I'm ok with most re imaginings but you can't outright change a basic characteristic of someone's personality that has prevailed through 7 decades and expect it to be kosher.

Evil dead I can't speak on as I haven't got to see the new one, but I can't imagine it's worse than the original and I loved the original but it was baaaaaad. So bad it was good.

the ending for me was a "whoa" moment, i welcomed it, people have to see that hes finding out who he is through trial and error. superman to me has always seemed to perfect. he always had the right thing to say or did the right thing at the right time.

Hence why he's Superman. Look I'm not a huge Superman fan for the same reason, but there's comic characters who kill and those who don't if DC wants to let Superman kill so be it but that's their call not Hollywoods, imo. Now fans who wanna see a rough more strict Supes will read a comic see he doesn't do that and stop reading, I'd rather see the movie done accurately and draw in comic readers who will stay. Even if he was "finding himself" He was raised by the Clarks to never murder and he wouldn't disregard their wishes, would a real human sure but Superman isn't real or a human.
