Of course, there's no way to actual know, but just imagine who or what would be the most almighty.
The Sage of the Six Paths, the Reaper Death God, Jashin, or Juubi?

Probably Jashin or the Juubi. A close second would be the Reaper, and the Sage would be 3rd imo.

I don't believe Jashin even exists. But anyway, the Sage or the Juubi for sure.

Higher god-> creates Jashin--> makes a death god Reaper--> Juubi is a creature created--> S06P could be demigod, or first human

Isn't the fact that Hidan gained invulnerability by simply following his religion credit him enough?
Could have been fake, may be a jutsu cast on him to make him invulnerable to damage. So then he follows them believing in their "god"

Not for me. The Cultists who gave him his immortality could have simply set that as a condition to his body.

I'm really surprised that no one said, "Itachi".

Probably Jashin or the Juubi. A close second would be the Reaper, and the Sage would be 3rd imo.
Maybe. Any order sounds right to me.
juubi is the beginning of everything as kyuubi stated:

But still, the SO6P bested it. Plus, the Juubi apparently is mindless, which makes it defeatable.

Don't mean to sound like a douche, but how would Hidan have gotten his "immortality" then?
Edit: Oh. Others already questioned you about it.

I doubt a higher god exists, but the rest is plausible.
Juubi and the Sage.

Maybe, maybe not.

according to the wiki:
''This is a result of extensive experimenting with the Jashin religion's various techniques. His immortality allowed him to survive numerous fatal injuries, and almost any form of dismemberment; he even retained his ability to speak after having his head cut off.''

hidan's body was experiment. orochimaru also gained immortality through experiments and then he gained his snake form. as
HiddenSound said, i don't really think jashin exist. hidan gained immortality through experiments.

@bold: to defeat a god, you need to have godlike powers as well.

I read that too. I'm not sure where they got that from though. Either way, if Jashin were to exist, i retain my hierarchy previously posted.

I can believe that. It's just that Jashin didn't personally didn't grant Hidan immortality. Hidan achieved it on his own. I believe Jashin exists in the NV until proven otherwise.

God-like powers definitely helps, but I believe power slightly above Madara's and Hashirama's level would suffice. Knowing OP seals help, too.

hell no. the godlike powers that SO6P has are way above madara and hashirama. he created the moon, ninjutsu, 9 bijuu. no one can have godlike powers like SO6P.

they got that from the databook. here is a page of DB of hidan's immortality:

^^ usually the wiki adds every DB and manga statement to their website.
