We have never been given his ancestry. The evidence leads more to the Uzumaki heritage. Kishimoto's hints have lead to obvious happenings in the future so you apply Occams Razor to it. The simplest/obvious solution is the correct one. The Sage was an Uzumaki.

The official state religion in japan was shintoism until 1945, and a vast number of its myths are the inspiration for this manga, such as izanami, izanagi, ametarasu and susanoo. It was a religion exclusive(more or less) to japan, unlike buddhism which actually originated near pakistan. Fyi, not in this thread but in a few others the picture you used to depict the 6 paths was taken from a tibetan monastery and didnt even belong to japan. Stop misleading people with your nonsense, if your really interested join a theology course, get a degree and publish a paper on ancient mythology......Oh wait thats right universities dont publish work thats been ripped off the net. Who's to say that Kishimoto did not look outside of Japan for some of his inspiration? He's a free agent, not a prisoner of Japans rules.

In the original version, jiraiya beat the serpent orochi with the help of his summoned toad and married tsunade, this was an old japaneese folktale. Now imagine someone seeing jiraiya in part 1 and making a prdiction based off that. This is EXACTLY what sir derp the moron obito has done.

-orochimaru was never killed by jiraiya
- he was rejected by tsunade.
