Chapter 661: The Death Of a Student
Minato (Narrator): I became Hokage…it was a dream come true at the very least! Some time after that me and your mother got engaged and not much after that she got pregnant of you, Naruto. For once in my life I felt like the world was perfect…but the thruth hit me like none other…
*Minato is seen in the Hokage`s office, a concerned look on his face when suddenly, a shinobi bursts in through the door*
Shinobi: Lord Fourth!! We received news from Kakashi!
Minato: Finally! How is the situation?
Shinobi: He managed to get a hold of the girl, however…
Minato: However?
Shinobi: However they are pursuing him and they stripped him of the kunai you gave him. He said the pursuers were getting closer on the minute.
Minato: DAMNIT!!*Breathes in and out* Im going.
Shinobi: What?! But lord fourth-
Minato: My students are my responsibility. Tell Genma and the others to meet me in the gates now. *Disapears with FTG*

*Minato, the young Hokage Bodyguards along with five more Shinobi are seen jumping from tree to tree*
Minato:…
Genma: Lord fourth…are you ok, you look tense.
Minato: Don’t worry, we will be arriving in a few minutes.
Genma: Ok then…
Minato (thinking): Takemaru, Kagai, Obito…I cant afford to lose Rin and Kakashi too. I got stronger…I WILL protect the ones close to me…I wont fail my ninja way…
*Minato and the others land on an open field, almost immediately Minato`s eyes widen and he turns toward the others*
Minato: DOWN!! *Launches two wind enhanced FTG kunais at two mist Shinobi who were trying to air assassinate Minato with their Katana before teleporting to one of them, evading another shinobi that tried to assassinate him from the ground* Trying to sneak on me…*Telleports in front of the man because of the seal he marked on the ground and cuts off his throat with a kunai* It wont work.
*Around the field various shinobi appear, either coming out of the ground or falling from the trees*
Shinobi: Damnit!
Minato: Take my lead. Lets get them! *Dashes off towards the enemy with three kunai in one hand and four in other before throwing all against the small army*

Minato: FLYING THUNDER GOD SLASH!!! *Takes out the last mist shinobi and starts running through the forrest, having left the rest of the shinobi back* Now, I just need to-*Arives on the site where he last felt Kakashi`s chakra only to find the whole place soaked in blood* What the…what happened here? *Walks around the massacre to see the Mist nin impaled by spikes* Dear god….but where…no…*Minato walks to the middle of the carnage to see Rin`s dead body in the ground and falls to his knees*
Minato (thinking): Obito…
(Flashback)
*Team Minato Is ready to leave on a mission and as Kakashi and Rin are walking ahead but Minato pushed Obito aside to talk to him*
Minato: Obito…you like Rin don’t you?
*Obito blushes and Minato laughs as he realized his suspicions were right*
Obito: Well…
Minato: No need to explain…*Rubs his hair in a affectionate way*..I get it!
Obito: Hey, what do you mean by that, huh?!
*Minato laughs it off as he walks towards Kakashi and Rin with a complaining Obito following him close behind*
(Flashback end)
Minato: Rin…
(Flashback)
*Rin is seen healing Minato`s arm*
Minato: Well, your new medical ninja abilities sure have come in handy, huh Rin?
Rin: *Smiles* If I didn’t have them I wouldn’t be able to keep up with Obito or Kakashi. Those two are getting stronger by the day.
Minato: *Smiles* Well, yeah…with such a great sensei such as me anyone could get stronger that fast!
Rin: Sensei you`re too cocky sometimes..
Minato: Hmm? Am not…ok, I am a bit.
*The two laugh it off*
(Flashback End)
Minato (thinking): I have failed both of you…I promised to protect the ones close to me...i failed everyone…*Starts to tear up* I am useless…Even if I was named Hokage I still cant protect my friends…I am not worthy of the title sensei…
*The group of Shinobi arrive in the scene*
Genma (thinking): This Jutsu is the first hokage`s wood style…what happened here?
Shinobi: Lord fourth…
*Minato gets up holding Rin*
Minato: Kakashi…he’s still alive, please save him. Once we return to the village I don’t want anyone talking about this incident ever again. It is classified.
Raido: But sir- *Another shinobi grabs him by his shoulder and when he looks at the man he simple shakes his head in a no sign*
Minato: I`ll be heading off now.*Disapears with his Flying Thunder God Jutsu*

Minato (Narrator):Some days passed and depressive thoughts hung on to me, refusing to leave… the only good news I had is that you were about to be born. That shook off my depression. However…I will never forget that day…I felt like I needed to pay my respects so I made my way towards the cemetery where Rin had been buried days ago.
*Minato is seen walking in the cemetery on the sunset, when he suddenly sees another person in front of Rin`s grave*
Minato: Kakashi...
*Kakashi turns to see Minato with tears in his eyes he cleans his eyes in his shirt*
Kakashi: Sensei…
*Minato walks to Kakashi`s side and they stay quiet for a few minutes until Minato breaks the silence*
Minato: Its not your fault.
Kakashi:…it is.
Minato: It isn’t. Stop blaming yourself.
Kakashi: Why do you say its not my fault? Because something similar once happened to you?! NO! It was VERY different! MY CHIDORI HAS GONE THROUGH HER CHEST!! You should have never saved me…
Minato:…
Kakashi: Im sorry, sensei…I didn’t want to get so…
Minato: I know. But I also know she jumped in front of you to protect her village. Her death was her choice and I doubt she regrets it. Still…I never thought things would end like this, Kakashi. Its more my fault than anyone else`s. Even tough I am now a Hokage I will always be your sensei and it’s a sensei`s job to protect his students. Obito…Rin…their death is on my shoulders. So don’t blame yourself. Blame me.
Kakashi: I wouldn’t do that, Sensei…I haven’t got a family, I never met my mother, my father isn’t alive anymore, my closest friends….you are all the family I have, sensei…*Smiles towards Minato* You are the only one left, I couldn’t get mad at you.
*Minato at first is surprised, but then he smiles at Kakashi*
Minato: Don’t worry, im not going anywhere so soon.
*Sudenly a nervous Shinobi is seen coming into the cemitery*
Shinobi: Lord Minato!! Your wife…
Minato: What is it, is there something wrong? Did something happen to her?
Shinobi: No…its just...she is about to give birth!
Minato: Well…*Smiles*Looks like I have to go, Kakashi!
Kakashi: Good luck, Sensei! I hope everything turns out ok!
Minato: Lets go.
*Walks off with Kakashi watching him*

Minato: Didn’t I? My student is the cause of this war and the only thing I left to my son is the burden of stoping him…
Naruto: Dad…everything you did made me the person I am today, and I like the way I am! I was lonely at first, that’s true but I met many friends, being lonely teached me to treasure them and for that…*Smiles* I cant thank you enough, dad!
Minato: *Smiles*Naruto…thank you for cheering me up…oh! And before I forget…*Puts his hand on his abdomen* I have a gift for you…
Extra Note: Oh man…the Kakashi part actually made me sad just by writing it…to think on what happens to him next…that’s so depressive…
