1. He basically was as "overwhelmed" as Sasuke was when Sasuke was in the room with the 4 Edo-Kage as you put earlier, they were both scared in their circumstances even if it was a clone or not.

Well that's just how Naruto and Sasuke are.. Remember in one of the first fights Team 7 got in, Naruto got attacked by two fodders and got paralyzed in fear and Sasuke saved him no problem, even willing to risk his life for his teammate Sakura.

Sasuke just hasn't been there for as long as Naruto and doesn't understand the concept of just how mammothly huge and scary this battle is. Also...if I remember Sasuke has shown moments of shock and fear in this battle. Just about as many as Naruto anyway- I mean, whos the guy whos been this whole battle with a smile on his face?

Sasuke is not fearless but careless. Everytime he thinks he alone will solve each problem but fails everytime. Even Itachi told Sasuke already that Itachi himself failed because Itachi tried to do everything alone by himself.

If you talk about courage, Naruto is either equal or more courageous than Sauke.
Naruto with kakashi/Gai took on Obito/6-Jinchurikis/6-Tailed-Beasts.
Sasuke is just taking on Juubito with Tobirama/Minato/Hiruzen & the leader Naruto.

Thats why it is called Naruto's team or Naruto's gang at the end of the previous chapter.
