Minato & Tobirama Comparison

I'm only comparing stuff which these two peeps share and this is completely my opinion.

Minato's base speed/Shunshin > Tobirama's.

Tobirama's reflexes >= Minato's.

I'm willing to say his reflexes are better since unlike Minato, Tobirama's been fighting in a constant war since he was a child and from a few feats we've seen, I'd say his reflexes are either on par or better than Minato's.

The fact that he's been trained for war is a really important part for Tobirama.

Tobirama's FTG >= Minato.

Not saying that it's faster, that's impossible since it's instant transmission, but I believe Tobirama uses FTG more effectively due to tactics he's created (seen in this chapter which allows Naruto & Sasuke to finally hit Obito). He's also the creater of FTG and has incorporated it with his sword which effectively allowed him to land a strike on Izuna, a highly praised Uchiha.

The main reasons why I believe his reflexes are better is because Tobirama's mainly been fighting for his entire life and the fact that he's a Senju adds to his physical capabilities. This is the same reason I believe Tobirama uses his FTG more effectively than Minato (due to being in a war-torn era) and because he is the creator of the technique.

Forgot to add, don't wanna discredit Minato at all.

Dude's a hella badass too and is the reason why Konoha emerged victorious in the 3rd Shinobi World War.

Tobirama being a Senju and fighting in wars does little to prove that his reflexes are better than Minato's. Minato was renowned for his speed and reflexes while Tobirama was not. Though they do have similar sensory abilities and their Hiraishin are on a similar level.

Minato fought and won a world war single handly.....sooo no until we get a statement sayin tobirama's reflexes are better Minato >>> Tobirama.....just cause he created it doesn't mean it's better....his edos would not be as good as kabuto's or current oro's and like I said Minato also won a war with FTG.....

I'd agree.

In practical human speed...as well as body flicker, Minato is faster.


In terms of reflexes, Tobirama wins. He literally has been in war since he was a child...something today's shinobi are only JUST experiencing. This was his everyday or every other day life.

Feat wise, despite being blown in half, he managed to do two things. 1) Place Paper Bombs on Obito. 2) Place a FTG seal on Obito.

What makes this even more ridiculous is this.

1. No one noticed the FTG mark...neither Obito or Minato.
2. He put both Paper bombs and a seal with his off hand apparently (meaning that despite Obito being to his right...he could place the seal and bombs with his left hand...or even faster his then destroyed right hand...meaning he put bombs and seals on before the speed blitz.


Tobirama is just Epic Win....this is why when he yells SILENCE...his brother cries.

Side Note: Love how Naruto said he was the guy with the face of the Second Hokage....because he's too retarded to get he IS the Nidaime Hokage.

S...Since when did Minato solo a war?! I don't recall this....cause if so...I think Bee and Ay would be dead. In addition, if you refer to Kakashi Gaiden...he did not solo. His Konoha allies threw the Kunai thus automatically making a solo not happen. Furthermore, he did that in one battle. One battle does not equate to an entire war.

I would tend to agree on the reflexes thing. Its pretty impressive that tobirama managed to mark Obito, and also detonate his infinite explosion tags whilst being speed blitzed.

uhhh i guess. maybe yeah... we dont know how fast tobirama is or who he has gon up against with speed but we know minato dodged the raikage at full speed... soooo...... maybe but there isnt enough evidence to support that... he may use it more tactical because of war experience but as far as reflexes... i think that is what minato is mostly held in regard about... hashi=power...tobi=idk....hiruzen=number of jutsu....evidently because it was said in manga.....minato=reflexes and speed............................................................tsunade=ummmm... healing and physical strength i guess

Does anybody else hate kishi for coping out again and giving the same jutsu to both of them. Kinda pisses me off that he is just another minato. I wanted to see him do something indivisual. But I guess this is the kage level proof we have been waiting for.

How does perfecting a jutsu make one better?! And as for the Minato > Tobirama.....I disagree.

Minato has built far more variety in FTG...but that's all he focuses on.

Minato is 90% dependant on one technique. The minute FTG no longer works...he has clones, Rasengan, and Reaper Death Seal. Tobirama contains one of if not the most diverse move set in the series. So I fail to see how Minato creating a great variety of jutsu with just one of Tobirama's technqiues make him better :/

So....those other Shinobi who had been fighting were mysteriously NOT there....and they didn't throw the Kunai like they were ordered to...and that ONE BATTLE was deffinatly the ENTIRE WAR.

Your logic is flawed. Minato did not solo a war....he played a significant role....but he didn't solo it.


Additionally, Tobirama just used FTG that pretty much equates to Minato's. Recall him saying Minato copied him.

Reflexes ?, do you remember when Juubito had just been created, he just smashed through Tobirama and Hashirama, like it was nothing. We have seen Minato fight with Juubito in the weaker form, and there Minato was shown faster, so Minato has better reflexes than Tobirama...
