It would have been tragic if she was in battle on the 1st Division Coast and ended up being killed by Asuma T-T!!!
At least with that...Kabuto's plan to have people be emotionally controlled would have had some manner of significance....cause honestly Hiashi and Hizashi just went at it. Shikamaru wasted no time as well.

Yupp. Even if Kurenai had fought in the war, I doubt she would've fought Asuma. I think that fight was destined for Ino, Choji, and Shikamaru.

Before Ino-Shika-Cho get there...Kurenai ends up being in front of him. Unable to bear his revival/not wishing to attack he ends up killing her. Then Ino-Shika-Cho would appear.
It would be tragic and show the cold side of war. Plus it could lead to more Hinata development as she was like a mother to her.

Yeah Kurenai is also good as she has genjutsu to bolster that skill. My point was more to the effect of seeing her lover and father of her child would be overwhelming (which is what Kabuto origionally planned by leaving some personalities)....would have been good plot wise to show his plan work on at least someone.Kurenai is actually really good at close to mid range

From the moment it was mentioned that the 8 gates kills the user, Gai & Lee were basically guaranteed death..... honestly, they same would be said for Neji, with the "curse seal only vanishing after death"..... so I should have seen his death coming too..... but I never actually did because he'd become such a minor character.He will die no doubt, we haven't see 8 gates can do

And yes...it is extremely cruel...I think it would have been a sad twist in the war to try and show the inhumanity of it....as he attempted to do so with all the casualty rates and the shinobi attacking wounded people. Would have been sad to see it happen, but Kabuto's origional purpose and some character development would have come from it.
Lol I know she's basically on temporary leave due to child bearing circumstances.

Obito is the same person who [at 14] soloed the Uchiha [along with Itachi], but going by the fact that hyuga's [with Byakugan] could see things like Amaterasu building up, Obito warping his body, and the fact that they can see through genjutsu, It's pretty obvious that Obito & Itachi would have had a harder time VS Hyuga clan than they did with Vs Uchiha clan.
