I guess butthurt would've been a better choice of words.

Maybe.

I only feel Obito's an idiot because of in the later chapters after his reveal.

I could kinda understand him getting pissed at the world for all the crap he experienced like Rin getting killed by the person he asked to protect her, and he was really badass when he was in his "Madara" persona.

Yet later on as he kept explaining things and the things he was saying made me hate him as a character. He wants to believe since Rin died she's a fake and so is the Ninja world? His reasons and such for doing these actions make him seem like a "butthurt" child.

Man I miss his Madara persona so much, he was badass...

Well, the point of the whole Naruto and Obito thing is that yes, Naruto could have easily gone the same route.
Hell, Obito almost managed to make him go that route in their fight. I would hope that everyone reading the manga understood this parallel, and wouldn't bash Obito if Naruto were their favorite character. For me personally, I'm not much of a basher, but if any of you don't like Obito's motivation blame Kishi, not a fictional character.

Nah love/friendship has a major impact on characters of anime.
Villains turns good guys.Vegeta good example about that.
Good guys turn villain: Gin Ichimaru(bleach).

so cannot really say it is a good reason 2 start a war.
but it is a good reason 2 turn evil.

"Losing control" and "STARTING A GODDAMN WAR, MURDERING INNOCENT PEOPLE, AND PROSTITUTING IDEALS TO SERVE YOUR GOALS" are different concepts my friend...

And I'm sorry, the traumatic instance of losing his village, Hinata, Kakashi (he realized he was dead the moment he entered the battle) and finally losing his sensei is on a whole other level than Obito losing "Rin"...

I will acknowledge that Naruto lost his control because of Hinata and Sasuke, but comparing these two is ludicrous. Naruto grew up with nothing. His views on companionship and friendship are completely warped due to his upbringing. We have no clue what childhood Obito had.

Yeah I'm not defending the fact fact he started a war. I just want people to see that Obito lacked that support that allowed Naruto to overcome the obstacles that came in his way.

Thank you for understanding, midway Into my rant it turned into me bashing Naruto. That wasn't my intention, I want people to see the parallel that you stated.

No problem c: Yeah, I wish the base were free of this bashing stuff, but it's always been like this to a degree.
Now it's just gotten crazy though.

Excuse me but I'm not very fond of Uzumaki Nardo's overall character in general. To put this bluntly, i find Nardo and his Anti counterpart to be somewhat mind-numbing to say the least.Hating a fictional character created by an Asian man in Japan doesn't cross my mind, i dislike Anti Nardo(Obito Uchiha) as a villain. As a villain Anti Nardo has yet to reach my expectations thus making me dislike his overall approach on his goals. His apporach on achieving his goals are just as powerless as him trying to become that intimating villain despite achieving ultimate power.

To be fair... Nobody really has a good reason for doing what they're doing in this manga. Nobody.

If Naruto didn't have his friends to help him long the way, the same thing could've happened to him

He would have turned on innocent people? Whored out his own beliefs to serve a new one? Highly doubt it. That was not his hand pulling out to Obito, it was Hinata's. The idea that he could be like Obito is whatever, but his motivations for turning evil, if nothing else, would be far more believable.

No parents. Neglected for most of his developmental years. Lost his teacher and then a comrade... Way more compelling reasons to turn "evil" than my gf died.

Are you retarded, this was specified to Naruto(the character) fans, how you gone roll up in a Sasuke ava and bring up Rin, the point is Naruto would have gave up also if he was in Obitos position.

No that's exactly the point. Obito's motivations are Rin and Rin alone. The only instances of Naruto ever coming close to turning into an Obito were when he lost control.

The idea here is that without his friends Naruto would become like Obito. I can accept that, but bashing Obito's motivations is perfectly in line. His motivations suck.

And I am honestly quite cool with Obito as a villain. He brings the pain, and I don't care for his motivations to begin with...

I agree with this post but, that still doesn't change the fact that he fails at becoming this ultimate steamrolling mass of destruction that Kishimoto is attempting to recreate.I won't go into detail but i don't gain any sort of 'threat' from our main villain despite him grasping inexhaustible power.Basically its not really his personality i dislike, its just that he as a powerful villain has yet to make my interest meter reach its absolute peak.

You're wrong Obito had everything Naruto didn't from the start and still gave into not only Madara but his own hate for the world. He could have turned to those who still cared for him after Rins death but instead he chose to erase everything even his friends and family if only to have a perfect illusion of what he himself wants in life and all for the death of the girl he loved which you might either think is romantic or insane but it's still completely different from what Naruto has done with his choices.

Oh I agree I wasn't defending Obitos motivation it is shit, but as I was pointing out to the tard that's not the point of the thread.
