I can respect that, but here is my thoughts.
Obito CHOSE to return to Madara. He was now able to freely move, but instead of saving Kakashi and heading to Konoha, he chose to return to Madara in his time of grief. Furthermore, he himself decided this world was hell/didn't exist upon her death on his own, but then realized he could use Madara's plan to find the real world.
I do not bash him per-say, but I find his reason for war is very immature. He literally did so because Rin died, but he tries to say it is also because the system is flawed. His problem...is when he explains the flawed system, it simply rotates around the fact that it killed Rin... and once more that this world isn't right because Rin died in it.
To finish, he's killed more than half of the shinobi world because he wishes to create an illusion of Rin and he will make copies of anyone he sacrifices; however, what he fails to understand is that they will truly be dead so they will not dream like he plans to.
EDIT: My only other problem with him is his recent attitude change. Before he gave zero shits about who he was, and was just a badass; however, with the mask off... he changed.
1. His personality reverted to a child-like one: Constantly trying to goad people into quitting... EVEN after they've said screw you.
2. The stuff I mentioned before the edit.
Other than that... he's a pretty great character. Even though he has a couple of faults IMO... he is still a wonderfully developed character.
