Orochimaru without Edo Tensei isn't anything special.Orochimaru is a scientist who study's other abilities while not creating anything of his own worth mentioning.In the Sannin showdown he wasn't the most handicapped because Jiraiya couldn't used his ninjutsu when that is his primary power, so Jiraiya was the most handicapped in that fight.Sasying Orochimaru had none of his power against Itachi is bull&^%*.There was nothing in the manga that even hinted at Orochimaru not being at full strength when he tried to take Itachi eyes.Just face the facts, Itachi fodderized Orochimaru because Itachi is a superior shinobi from the Uchiha Clan.Orochimaru has shown nothing that says he can take on a MS sharingan or any of the powers that MS intales.Orochimaru is superior to the others Sannin in some ways, but in others, he is weaker than both Jiraiya and Tsunade.

This post fails miserably. First Orochimaru has only shown Edo, so we don't know what he is capable of to determine whether he isn't anything" special" without. He was certainly the #1 candidate for being the 4th Hokage without Edo. This was above the rremaining Sannin and Minato.

You can't really say Orochimaru is the strongest now that J- Man was killed off and we don't even know if Tsunade is weaker. I think they were not even given the chance to show off everything they had.

please re-read the manga.
Naruto/Oro fight:
1. Orochimaru actually landed a hit on 4 tails
2. Triple Rashamon was enough to divert and dumb down the destruction of a tbb
3. He launched the snake wall at 4 tails
4. he used kusanagi to push naruto back an extremely large distance.
5. He reattached himself numberous times
6. slithering snake mode proved to be able to maneuver around 4 tails' attacks at a high rate of speed

so you're telling me he "evaded and ran away" the entire fight? when he simply regenerated his body when needed...that doesn't seem like "evading and running away" to me.

Btw, Oro's body was ill...so of course sasuke would take that opportunity to strike at oro..you see he didn't try to strike any other time because he knew oro was too strong healthy. Anyone is vulnerable when they're on their DEATH BED...

and another thing. The only reason Itachi was able to "fodderize" Oro the second time is because he had a legendary spirit sword thing...that NO ONE else has...it just so happened to be plot-no-jutsu that Orochimaru was "sealed away", just to get the last laugh at Itachi and come back later.
