When Lisa approached, he did seem kinda calm. Does this mean that Ukitake is alright?

In Manga these days, a blow like the one Ukitake recieved is childsplay. They never seem to be affected by it, especially in Bleach.

Remember how Zaraki let Tosen stab him through his gut? Same thing with Ol' Yama did with Amagai.

They're probably injured pretty badly. Remember what happened to Rangiku? She had a whole chunk ripped out of her torso by Alon.

But they'll both be fine in the end. Besides, we never got to see their Bankais
