[Discussion] Fairy Tail Its Strength And Flaws

I recently begun watching the fairy tail animation after great boredom and partial resistance to it , my main problem of the anime was that it was overrated and put simply "immature and more appropriate for the younger viewers" but after reaching the nirvana arc I began to like it very well, although like any other animes is not perfect and exhibit one flaw or the other, I noticed the fighting scenes were quite childish and lacked actually violence no blood etc. The arcs are quite predictable it usually starts off with the bad guys winning at first, then because of them wanting to proctect thier guilds beats the opponent and somehow magiccaly turns the situation around the pinnacle i have seen so far is when ezra somehow beat azuma, ths series is fun and creative and sheds light on other characters unlike naruto. Though from what i have heardd fairytail has a long way before it can be compared to the calibre of one piece, bleach and deathnote.

It's your typical "main character over comes opponents one way or the other" manga, like many others =D I agree with you though. It's still entertaining at times.

Personally I think it's a mediocre anime ( regardless of my avatar ), I mainly started to hate it after the Hades battle, that one was just pure BS and I can't take it serious anymore. I stopped reading the manga after the GMG arc since it doesn't seem as interesting anymore, it's basically just Fanservice Tail now ..

Fairy tail is great its more comedy than action. Its not any gore but unless you really into that its not a problem. The only flaw is the over focusing on friendship. Its still a good anime and one thing it has that naruto doesnt. Women who are actually useful. See juvia erza and mira

Fairy Tail has fantastic characters, interesting plots, and really cool attacks, but the Nakama Power Factor does get ridiculous sometimes...That and the Fan-Service.

I just started it a few days ago. I liked it from the jump. It doesn't have a long way to go in my view, seeing as the others you listed aren't all that great anyway, except for Bleach which is somewhat comparable.

The level of fan_service is much and is it just me or does no good guy ever truly die in this manga/anime i mean wasnt lisanna dead? Then she somehow magically survived and was sucked up to edolas, now am no expert but that does seem a little far fetched. In naruto asuma,neji and even jiraiya died and one piece ace but in fairytail its just beat the bad guys and we all live happily ever after, my reason for not watching bleach was that it was too gloomy and dark but after watching fairytail and completing the anime i might as well sit down and watch bleach at least you get real bloody action from it, like i said i like fairytail and think its a great manga but these are just one of its flaws which cant be overlooked.

Agreed.
I liked the concept and the artwork, since it looked really interesting when it first started. However, it became too predictable, and most of it is just fanservice or comedy. It's way too child-like for my liking.

FT just doesn't seem as good compared to the Big Three. It has its good moments, but that's about all.

I still love it though! It's awesome, it's soundtracks are amazing which makes the emo moments more epic. Don't really miss the blood, but it would be nice to have it in the anime!

There are a lot of fights that certain characters shouldn't have won. (Hades for example, Natsu should of not won that fight)

I got over the blood thing, even though it still bothers me a little. Lol

I literally would given up on the anime during season 1, but my friends motivated me to go on.

There are a lot of amazing characters with awesome powers but they get barely any screen times.

The one thing I hate the most is that the main character has learned NOTHING!

Fairy Tail is one of my favorite animes/Mangas and I have seen way worse series were characters win battles through Friendship. Only arc I didn't like was tenrou island arc and Edolas arc as a close second all the other ones was decent to me. The fights in Fairy Tail has always been medicore and just decent not epic. The GMG arc was alright not as bad as people make it out to be. Basically if the series can improve on its plot than maybe it will become better but it is still awesome as it is now. Fairy Tail fans also overexgerrate about the Fanservice in Fairy Tail. The most Fanservice we got in Fairy Tail was them in a bath house which happens in most of the anime I see(You have the bathhouse scene and the beach scene in every anime).
