No shukaku - Sand is slower, less powerful, he has less chakra, etc.

People think war arc gaara is stronger, but that's sadly not true. It's just a case of screentime. Start of Part 2 jin gaara was his prime. Shukaku arms were frigging OP and he could bring a desert into the air.

First of all, don't try to use that stupid ''Gaara had to protect his village'' argument because the only time Deidara used that to his aid was when he used his C3 and that doesn't really matter because Deidara can drop it on Gaara himself. The results would be the same.

Furthermore, Deidara didn't even use C2 or C4 (His best technique) and he had just a little bag of clay. Not to mention that the Gaara Deidara defeated had a Bijuu sealed inside him and they were fighting in a desert.

Deidara beats any version of Gaara.

that jutsus is useable only in very close range,infact,sasuke was on his clay bird at that time,and it explodes inwardly,the bombs detonate within it. How is he getting close to gaara to even try that?

If gaara goes into his dome .. that ends it just to let you know ,, and not that it matter's because as you can see here the bombs went so high they melted birds flying high above the trees

is the radius of the bombs,deudara and gaara were flying a lot higher,and besides like i said,if they are flying that low,gaara's sensor sand will detec the moving bombs,and gaara simply levitates above the radius just like what deidara did.

though this is an effective C4 counter; Deidara already beat gaara while unprepared(brought little clay)... in a desert... while gaara had shukaku. If this isn't a handicap enough for deidara to prove he's > gaara, then nothing is.
