Seriously some of the best stories of war have been fought because of a woman

Lets start off witgh the biggest and the best story out there. . . . . . Does anyone remember a little war called the Trojan War. Yeah that war was started because of Helena " the most beautiful woman in the world" because she had fallen madly in love with Paris of Troy. That small ember of love ignited a world war at its time. Millions died and a country fell because of her.

The second that I know of would be Dantes Inferno. Ddnt dante go into the depths of hell to save his beloved from Satans grip.

Also the story of Ulysess id about him returning to his wife.

Why would people hate on kishi for this reason. You know it couldve been worse maybe he woukdve done it for a dead friend

Because she is like 10 and Obito is still in love with her when he is 40. And plenty of kids died in that war and you dont see everyone trying to start another one. Kakashi is the one who had to kill her but Obito is the one who cant let it go.

So pretty much, it makes Obito seem incredibly immature because he cant handle that his 10 year old girlfriend sacrificed herself for everyone.

As soon as Rin appears in a panel, people get this irrational feeling of hatred, probably stemming from the initial disappointment about the Obito revelation. It's sortof like how Nagato was redeemed by a book.. no one wanted to see him turn good, and it wasn't all that believable that he switched so quickly over something so small after years of evil deeds. Was there more to it? Of course. Was it the worse plot element in the history of manga? Of course not. But did it incite anger and disappointment in the fans, and leave a stain on what could have been a great story arc? Absolutely. That's what people feel the Obito/Rin dynamic has done to Tobi/the War.

The difference between all of these examples you have just listed and Obito's delusional obsession is that all of those famous women of literature were alive throughout the course of their respected stories, yet Rin has been very much dead for at least 2 decades in the Naruto universe. Obito isn't even comparable to the likes of Paris, Ulysses, or Dante. He is just clinging onto a lost hope, and is consequently screwing everyone else over in the process because he believes that the world in which he is currently living in is beyond redemption- despite the fact that it has come together for the first time to defeat him. The problem that I have with Obito is that he lacks character motivation. All that he has done so far is beyond excusable. Also, please do not compare Ulysses, Dante's Inferno (not Homer-I know), or any other works of Homer to the plot-hole ridden mess that is Naruto.

Because it's annoying how many weak ***** n****s exist. Doing all sorts of shit for women and start wars. Going all cry-baby over a chick. That's exactly why they all got friendzoned.

Obito is a bitter, friendzoned teen who got enough power to forgo option A - suicide - for Option B - Take over the world.

In addition to this....those events were done on a basis of MUTUAL love.

Dante retrieves his Wife from hell.....Helen is abducted by Paris of Troy igniting the Trojan War.

Obito held a one side affection. Rin saw him as a friend and nothing more, and even went on to express feelings for Kakashi.
