Yamato trained Sai

I thought Yamato from the Anbu had nothing had nothing to do with the training of the root, that they met for the time when their time gathered to capture Kabuto (shortly after the timeskip), but seems i was wrong. The reason is that Yamato has the mask that Sai's teacher wore a few days earlier, as shown on the pages below:

I thought it was an interesting observation, although its irrelevant now, with Sai back as a very minor character and Yamato more or less dead.

I noticed that too, but wasn´t that same mask shown worn several times in Danzou´s speeches? (Sorry I can´t figure wheter those ANbu members were shown only in the anime. As in: Pein Invasion (fighting down the streets of Konoha)(in anbu´s HQ), Sai´s final test, (2 anbu besides DaNZOU on a cliff??

Guys that doesn't really make sense. You forget that during Naruto's fight againt Orochimaru, Sai acted in way that left Yamato completely suprised. He was also suprised by the way Sai was capable of defating him? Why Yamao would try to keep their relationship a secret while his reactions prove that he had no relation to him?

Maybe he trained other root members but not Sai, Sai's senpai has different hairstyle, it can't pe Yamato.

Yamato is an excellent shinobi & pretending you don't know something you already know , but shouldnt know is apart of an act. Also that Masked Man was never seen again .. Shinobi actors : Itachi, Tobi, Kabuto, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Haku, Sai.

maybe that masked man was killed .. maybe he is yamato(tenzou), maybe he left his mask to sai as a reminder of his mission.
