Better question would be what makes you think he would? Every Hokage has shown a new OP Technique or Ability recently except Hiruzen. And I doubt there's anything he could show that I could consider OP.

It's called patience. The manga did not end yet nor did Hiruzen. Hashirama and Tobirama believed in him enough to make him the Hokage. Don't underestimate him!

I like Hiruzen's character, pt 1 Hiruzen with a cool character to me since he didn't treat Naruto like dirt like everyone else. But I'm a little disappointed that Hiruzen's feats are not even scratching his pt 1 hype. I really just feel like Kishi just has no interest in Hiruzen right now and isn't giving him the credit he could be getting IMO.

Hiruzen is possibly the fourth or third(prime hiruzen) strongest hokage. i said "possibly" since members of this forum overanalyze things. so i odnt want a bullshit question thrown around by other wankers!

i think that Kishi is running out of creativity tbh. i should not comment on him since i am not in his league(he is writing a ****in manga which involves more competition since there are already thousands of mangas on the run by different authors than writing a MARVEL series which doesnt have much of a competition) to do that. but it just came up in my mind.
coming up with powers for a hidden character (like Hruzen and Tobirama) is difficult IMO, though i think Kishi would have had this prepared even during the starting of the manga series.

and knowingly left him alone to be hated, it's a miracle that Naruto was so understanding and good as to not let the Kyuubi loose.
