1. Itachi killed his clan to prevent a Civil war, that would have led to the Leaf's complete destruction.

2. Itachi put Sasuke on a path that would make him strong. It certainly worked. As for killing the next Hokage? Please, Danzo was the biggest two faced ass hole in the series. He claimed his actions were for the Leaf, but he let Pain destroy it. He was a self centered arrogant worthless man. As for joining the Akatsuki and "catching" Bee, that failed because Bee's Unique substitution. And the Summit, he killed a grand total of 10 Samurai at most and held his own against 4 out of 5 Kage.

3. Itachi's plan was to take out the user and cancel the Jutsu, he didn't know he knew the seals to reactivate the contract. How can that be considered a fail? Itachi didn't know about Madara's knowledge of the Jutsu. It's like saying Minato failed because he didn't know the Masked Man was Obito. Knowledge the character doesn't know about can't be considered a fail.

I'm a Sasuke fan, but Itachi is my 3rd fav, the argument I have presented to you should be sufficient to toast your ass.

2. Dude he attacked the Kages. The minute he had trespassed the summit he sealed his fate. True Killer Bee made it out of the battle alive, but still he attacked him making him a criminal.
3. If Itachi was smart he could have used Edo Tensei on himself instead of going to the after life to help finish the war.

Wrong. He prevented a civil war . Meaning Uchiha vs Konoha. Not the Shinobi Alliance vs Madara/Obito.

The civil war would've weakened Konoha, and other countries would've taken advantage of that. Itachi prevented Konoha from getting demolished by other countries.

The war didn't happen. The civil war (which he prevented) and this current war are separate wars. The current war isn't a Ninja War between villages, which is exactly the thing Itachi indirectly prevented.

Throughout his entire life Itachi has failed numerous times.
1. Itachi killed his entire clan to prevent the Ninja War but it still happened.

2. You forgot to write that Sasuke fights alongside the alied shinobi forces vs the last 2 villians (Madara and Juubito).
