ok so while talking in a zabuza thread my research led me to realize Kishi put a HUGE foreshadowing regarding the Akatsuki and Tobi. This requires a little knowledge of the game Shogi(which we saw have some importance with Shikamaru and Asuma regarding life lessons)

scroll to "game Equipment" the first section. The challenging king or the Black king. It has the Kanji ็މ. Tobi wore his Akatsuki ring on his left thumb(which has no relevance) but what does have relevance is the marking on Tobi's ring. Which was "jewel" or "ball" now you're probably saying "so?" So, the kanji for those is ็މ. The same as the CHALLENGING KING. Also the ring is the color purple which is historically a royal color due to the difficulty it took to produce purple dyes in older time periods. The purple color strengthens the connection to the Shogi king piece.

What has Tobi/Obito been doing? Challenging the current structure of the ninja world.

Some will try to discredit this foreshadowing as a coincidence because Sasori had that ring originally. I'll let you readers be the judge, I'm not here to make anyone think something I just wanted to share my findings and my thoughts on the matter.

Thank you for reading.

the foreshadowing that impressed me was regarding nagato and madara's eyes.!!

i always thought why couldnt nagato turn rinnegan off like sharingan and byakugan, thought it was a rinnegan thing...

but later found out that he couldnt turn if off because it was madara's eyes....

this impressd me alot.

I am not sure you know what foreshadowing means....[ ], To foreshadow something means to make an indication of something beforehand.

I guess what you mean is that Shikamaru and Asuma played Shouji alot, Shouji involves the use of the "Challenging" King, Tobi wore a ring with the symbol for "Challenging" king on it, there fore Shikamaru and Asuma playing Shouji was a foreshadowing of Tobi coming to challenge the ninja world?

It makes sense but:

1) It is extremely Vague

2) The Kangi used for Challenging king is also used for Reigning King which muddies the foreshadowing as its foresight depends on how you interpret things

3) The king symbol would seem more likely to relate to the fact that Tobi was actually the one in control of Akatsuki as oppose to Pain, this is a much simpler and more likely foreshadowing. Although also lack luster.

4) Shikamaru and Asuma used Shouji within a context of understanding who the true king was, which was the people. To use it as a foreshadowing would also undo the context made, or perhaps create a double entendra of a sort.

5) Tobi stops wearing the ring, does this symbolize that he is no longer challenging the ninja world?

Dont get me wrong this is a nice find of sorts, its always nice to see new and interesting idea, but this one I think falls a bit short and dies the death of 1000 qualifications. [ ]

He was foreshadowing Tobi being in control of the Akatsuki by wearing the ring with the kanji of the Challenging King in the game of Shogi. He wasl also foreshadowing what Tobi would be doing as the head of the Akatsuki by giving him that ring it implied he planed to challenge the reigning king which was the ninja world.

This is the Kanji for Reigning King ็Ž‹
This is the Kanji for Challenging King ็މ
They are not the same. Look at the bottom right square. Challenging King has an extra line, distinguishing it from the Reigning King.

Point 3. I already said that in my original post you should probably read the whole thing before responding based off the first sentences.

Point 4. The use of Shogi previously should have been a clue to people who saw Tobi's ring to make them realize the symbol on it stood for a Shogi piece. Asuma's ideal about the king also are used to reflect the difference in ideals between those with the will of fire and those like Obito.

As I said Kishi putting that ring on Tobi foreshadowed his role as the leader of the Akatsuki and how he would play out his role as leader i.e. challenging the ideals of the ninja world(not necessarily the literal ninja world which he did, but he didn't except the Reigning ideals of the ninja world which is what he is challenging now)
