XD, that was perfect! I don't care that I caused it at all... I got dozens of +reps from... Tobirama fans.... UGH!

I took it into account. The sand can move within the water. The only issue his if it can move as swiftly and if Gaara can reach the ground to try and erode some sand; when Kisame spews out a lake. As he tends to. It's a high diff >.>

The sand can withstand suiton, as proven with Prince Chuck's scan. It really is a high diff fight. Kisame could win easily if he were to merge with Samehada. But he wouldn't use such a jutsu up until Gaara has pressured him and likely found a way to grind more sand into the Lake, or escape the lake itself. Well.. Now that I look at it.. No.. Not gonna change my mind now! #Stubborn!

combining with a Water Dragon =/= using sand to fight underwater ...Besides that means he would not be able to make sand since this is not in a desert (did not look at OP so if it is ...****) and no way is he making sand while he is floating, standing on water since he must funnel his chakra into the ground .. so he would be limited to his gourd sand ,

Also the sheer qunatity of water that Kisame uses should render Gaara's sand useless .. As a water dragon does not really contain too much water. .

i think you misunderstood,he was just talking about that shield,he collects the strongest minerals from the ground and then uses his chakra to presurrize it,it dosent say he makes sand by flowing chakra through the ground,he controls any sand normally. He just uses some of his own sand to crush them. That shield was a lot stronger than any one he made in part 1.
Also,
didnt funnel any chakra through the ground to reach kimi's legs, and he DEFINATELY did not funnel chakra through the ground to do this
else he would have passed out. His comment about what he could do with his sand in the first scan also proves that he infact uses sand to make more sand, not flowing chakra through the ground,if that was so then all the sand he creates would be as strong as his gourd sand, which is not the case

He flowed his chakra into it at the beginning of the fight .. He may not use the rocks an minerals like he does for his shield but that is how he makes his chakra.. how else would he ? sand does not just magically appear when it is just dirt

there is no indicaion he did that, the only time he mentions using chakra is for his shield,in order to pressurize th minerals into dense sand, similar to his gourd sand which cariies his chakra. Like i said,he makes more sand by using his own sand to grind up minerals and earth. That is why normal sand has no chakra in it and is much slower and weaker than his gourd sand,he flows chakra through the gourd sand while he dosent do the same for normal sand, except when he wants to make heavy defences like that shield. He got his power from the shukaku,it might have been what the shukaku could do.
