So I saw in other threads people saying Sabo is going to get the Mera Mera fruit. Is this the same Sabo who was friends with Luffy and Ace?

he is dead and it says according to OPGREEN(4th databook) Sabo was confirmed dead at age 10.

Admittedly I'm not at that point yet so idk what's going on, did it turn out that Sabo lived?

It says his death was confirmed in a databook, if Oda wanted to leave it open don't you think he wouldn't have confirmed the death in the databook. Now if he returns the databooks aren't as reliable for "confirming" something the author knew he would change. If he plans to bring back Sabo he'd write something implying he wasn't dead or no one knows. idk just seems curious. What are these "hints" that make people think he survived can you share some of those points.

Who's on his **** you psychopath I haven't even got to his introduction in the manga. I ask why people think a character confirmed dead in a Official databook will be getting Ace's DF and somehow in that twisted warped brain of yours that equates to dickriding? Not 100% sure about this, but I don't think that databook was written by Oda. That databook is like a summary of certain characters, island, etc. Basically, One Piece information. Sabo hasn't been confirmed to be alive, so they just put deceased.

No Oda is the author it was released November 4th 2010. IDK if there's been a later one that revised it and made it open for possibility again though, still kinda new to OP.

I'm not sure what's the right info, but I don't think that that Databook was written by Oda. Also, check out that thread. Some poster might have a confirmation whether it is or isn't written by Oda. Too lazy to check myself.

Also, let's say if an interviewer comes up to Oda, and asks if Sabo is actually dead, he's definitely not going to say yes. He's most like either going to say no or give some vague answer.

I don't have any of the Naruto databooks so I can't comment but if it shows that can you post a pic. Obito wasn't relevant again until the third databook was coming out or was out and I'm sure Kishi knew he would be bringing him back so I do't know if it would say confirmed dead in a databook. If it is please show me until then I have to disagree.

It wouldn't have to say "alive" it could say "presumed dead" Plus I've been hearing rumors/theories that the Mera Mera No Mi Luffy is going after right now is a trick/lie/manufactured Devil Fruit. So if it isn't really Ace's fruit but an artificial version of it, Sabo getting it wouldn't be as significant. Idk whether he is or isn't, I follow comic rule #1 people who are dead may not be dead, so I'm not saying it's not possible it just sounded like a stretch given what info I know.
I thought maybe Oda had slipped in a character that looked like Sabo or something that made people believe he is alive.
