Danzou's KA is OP because he can use it once a day. Shisui's is crap because he can use it once a decade. The byakugan user would have seen something fishy whether he knew about Shisui's eye or not.

a downside in KA`s case is that it cant be used for another day,decade....but it can still kill you..

The weakness is recharge time. Other than that there's no ill effects. You gain full control over opposition, as it affects someone on a subconscious level you could even take control of a Perfect Jinchuuriki without them even knowing. That's dangerous and I can completely understand why Kishimoto didn't allow this Jutsu to be used much at all in the Manga.

honestly we don't know what his REAL recharge was, I think it took the one Itachi had ten years because a sharingan outside the body causes more strain and is more prone to drawbacks, the same way kakashi gets drained so hard using kamui.
