He obviously killed the kid. Obviously there was a misunderstanding between Zimmerman and Martin. Nobody knows what the **** is going on anyway. Whether or not anyone is in the wrong is not up to us.

in my opinion civilians shouldnt be carrying guns ... a stun gun would of done the job and save a life ... under the law he is innocent .... who ever carrying a gun will justify shooting someone els as self defense if a fight breaks out

LOL.
But it's not irrelevant to other people, apparently.
I just don't think killing the kid that you followed and getting away with it is right.
You're right, everyone is following this for no other reason than the attention to race. It was almost like it was commercialized.

And I don't think it was right either, I think he just got a little carried with his whole neighborhood watch gig.

Guns are far safer in civilian hands than in the hands of police. Just ask the victims of the NY police mass shooting while they were chasing a robber shooting blindly. They got to use the "line of duty" defense and got off with a slap on the wrist. Police use their guns far more than civilians and are more willing to pull it out than civilians because they have certain protections civilians do not have.

Don't forget "resisting police brutality" -_-;;

Doesn't really bother me at all. It happens all the time and nobody bats an eye unless it involves an African American and a White individual. In that moment the kid may not have meant any harm on his way home but with his past reputation involving drugs, fighting, and guns, old habits tend to surface when confronted in an unfamiliar manner. Zimmerman should have listened to the police but he didn't and a death certainly could have been avoided that night. He was head of the neighborhood watch and him profiling him as a bad individual may seem racist because of his skin color but the use guns, drugs and fighting are all bad traits for anyone to have. I don't like when people jump to the race card if those three things are in someones reputation. It also doesn't help that riots burst out and a majority of the people throw their anger at a situation that they don't understand which only leads to more innocent deaths. That's just how I see it and until people learn to except death and move on, they will always claim racism as an answer.

dont **** with the police they wont have to pull there gun out.... for civilians they can feel threaten anytime and pull it out and kill someone as self defense .... idk about you but if i was in a fight and got shot cuz i beat a guy up that would suck... plus nyc is a verry populated place wouldnt say they were shooting blindly lol

Man Shut your stupid ass up, you know nothing about a police officers job, my dad is a cop and the only time a cop pulls his gun out is with the intent to kill. That means the person(s) on the other end is/are being a pretty big dumbass that would lead to this. I'm pretty sure this year there was a stretch of time where every time I turned on the tv some idiot or "civilian" as you would say went into a school, movie theater or something and would shoot people, or small children just because they could. I'd go on but your stupidity knows no bounds I imagine. They put their life on the line every day they go to work and some never make it home because a "civilian" killed him so yes, I will not sit here and listen to some ignorant dumbass talk about something he clearly knows nothing about unless the media relays it to him which half the time is udder BS of what they have to say....U_U

You are using a personal bias (Your father being a cop) to make your argument. I'm more comfortable with my fun because I know what I'll do with it. Not every cop is going to e crooked, but who wants to take that chance on them being the only ones with guns?

And not every civilian is going to have the fun that you have with it, Would you feel more safe with a civilian you don't know with a gun or a cop you don't know? Having the personal bias as my argument makes me more aware than the average individual. If you are not a cops son you cannot simply understand this concept.

Don't understand why the ppl who don't care are posting. If you don't care, don't post :|

OT: Zimmerman admitted on the phone that he felt some sort of animosity towards African Americans. There goes your motive

If nobody in your family is a police officer you actually don't understand both points of view a gun. Never said take them away, I simply was stating I would feel more comfortable having a cop with his gun drawn than the average individual that you don't know. At least you know some kind of oath was taken in the hands of the cop.

Actually your bias makes you more likely to get offended when someone doesn't trust a cop, as shown above. You don't need a cop in your family to understand a cop's point of view, they talk to people all the time. (For the record my uncle is the commander of all of Indiana's state police.) Oaths are easily broken. They're just words to most people nowadays.
