I don't even.

So just because he did those things warrants him a death? Wow. Just wow.
What warrants the use of deadly force against Trayvon is pinning a man to the ground and slamming his head against concrete.

I don't know if it's your analogy, but you're making it sound like Trayvon really deserved to get shot for wearing a hoodie.
How do you deduce that I am saying he deserved to get shot for wearing a hoodie?

Zimmerman was justified in the use of deadly force when he was attacked, pinned, and had his head repeatedly slammed into the concrete by Martin.

That's what justified it, right there.

The two situations you listed are too different to be compared the way you compared them. The way you worded it makes it seem like walking around at night with a hoodie while being black means you may be a gangbanger and you should be shot down before you "cause trouble". Lol I can only hope this is not the point you were trying to get across with your comparison.
*sigh*

Please, for the love of all things of mammalian intelligence, explain to me how the hell you deduced that from my statement. That's so far from the mark that I think you simply read the first sentence of about every third paragraph and tried to formulate a coherent response.

Which would explain your perspective of this trial.

I'm amazed by how emotional and ignorant some people are. In the US, you are innocent until proven guilty - and the fact is, there is no evidence showing George Zimmerman to be guilty. If you think I'm wrong, please give me the evidence. I would be very curious to see it.

Here are a couple common arguments:

Trayvon Martin was just a kid, and George Zimmerman is an adult. Trayvon Martin could not have overpowered him.
First of all, I have a hard time saying a 17 year-old is a kid. However, even if that were true, he still had the body of an adult. He was 5'11 and 160 pounds. George Zimmerman was 5'7 and 185 pounds. It's very possible that Trayvon Martin could overpower him.

Some people go to jail for posting a bad joke on facebook. It's ridiculous that George Zimmerman wasn't punished at all.
In the case of the bad Facebook joke, there was concrete, undeniable proof of the crime. However, there is no evidence that George Zimmerman murdered Trayvon Martin. You're punished for crimes that you are proven guilty of, and George Zimmerman wasn't proven guilty of any crimes.

Why are you sighing for? I'm not saying he did do it in self defense and trayvon deserved to die. But I wasn't there so idk A life was taken away and yea it's sad but you guys gotta think do you honestly think the guy woke up one day and said to himself "I'm gonna kill somebody today!" No. Something happened that caused that event I'm not saying it was justified but shit that's life people come and go everyday and mother Earth never misses them cause Y'know what they say everythign ends with a beginning one man dies and a new baby is born. And also people are so full of shit especially black people they're quick to pull out the race card for every little thing. Black teens die everyday and who are killing them? Niggas, excuse my language but that's a fact and everyone knows it those kids who die everyday aren't on the news. No one cares everyone goes on with their lives but as soon as a hispanic person kills one it's made national news for a whole year and no one can call me racist cause I'm African American. And idk why you guys are surprised it's the U.S. remember that lady who killed her daughter and buried her in her back yard I forgot her name but she wasn't found guilty either the justice system is awesome ain't it? lmao
At approximately 7:09 PM,[Note 4] Zimmerman called the Sanford police non-emergency number to report what he considered a suspicious person in the Twin Lakes community.[88] Zimmerman stated, "We've had some break-ins in my neighborhood, and there's a real suspicious guy."[2] He described an unknown male "just walking around looking about" in the rain and said, "This guy looks like he is up to no good or he is on drugs or something."[89] Zimmerman reported that the person had his hand in his waistband and was walking around looking at homes.[90] On the recording, Zimmerman is heard saying, "these *******s, they always get away."[91][92]
About two minutes into the call, Zimmerman said, "he's running."[35] The dispatcher asked, "He's running? Which way is he running?"[93] The sound of a car door chime is heard, indicating Zimmerman opened his car door.[94] Zimmerman followed Martin, eventually losing sight of him.[35] The dispatcher asked Zimmerman if he was following him. When Zimmerman answered, "yeah," the dispatcher said, "We don't need you to do that." Zimmerman responded, "Okay."[95] Zimmerman asked that police call him upon their arrival so he could provide his location.[35] Zimmerman ended the call at 7:15 p.m.[35]
After Zimmerman ended his call with police, a violent encounter took place between Martin and Zimmerman, which ended when Zimmerman fatally shot Martin 70 yards (64 m) from the rear door of the townhouse where Martin was staying.

Reading all this shit from the case makes me see what ppl want to look in to racism in this case. And why is this guy not charge for killing someone when a kid on league of legend made a sarcasim remark to someone and he faces 10 years in jail? I lost hope in America court system.

There's no racism about it.

There is what we call profiling involved. It takes into account a number of factors.

If you dress like a gang-banger, then you'd better expect to be suspected of being one. Particularly when you're out and about after sun-down in a community that dresses of a higher economic class.

We can try to be politically correct about this all we want. The fact of the matter is that every organization and agency that trains people to conceal their identities and affiliations tells them to look around, and make sure they don't stand out - because people will profile you because it works.

Going to a country that doesn't like Americans? The Miami Dolphins hat you have might not be such a great idea. You might, also, want to avoid anything that would draw undue attention to you... you aren't going to 'hide' the American from close scrutiny, you're just going to take down the neon sign that states you're one.

There's the saying: "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

As for your other argument... because another court decided to convict someone of a sarcastic internet comment... (an extreme reaction), you want this one to send a man to jail for having killed someone in self-defense, regardless of the physical evidence that supports that it was self-defense?

The fact that he said" i am tired of these a holes getting away with everything" makes it racist. And under no circumstances does it gives anyone the right to take the law in their own hand. Who ever you are, you say the killing was justified right? Tell me something, You're walking home and you notice your being followed. so you run and the person follows you. You cannot sit by your computer and tell me you would not react the same way the kid did or try to defend yourself. Logically you would think that the person who is following you is either 1, want to rob, kill,or assault you.

Not sure if that's you in the picture but just in case it is, I am sure in the army, if this kind of thing happen in the field where you were being follow you would act if not like the kid but similarly.

What you're saying about dressing is completely retarded even though that's what people in today society portray.
If i wear a hoody that makes me a gang banger? wtf? if that's the case why is it even sold in store??? The fact of the matter is, he saw this kid, "looking" not doing any crime, but Looking and walking home, and from his deduction from the boy, He looks like he does drugs or something? how the **** a person going to say because a boy has a hoody on he does drugs?

He should have gotten hard time for what he did, I refuse to believe someone who study Criminal justice and train in the art of fighting, gets beat up by a 17 year old kid half his body weight. The fact of the matter is, he pursue the kid with a weapon after the cops told him not to, let them do their job....he took the law in his own hands which no one should have a right to under no circumstances.

What America just stated is, it's okay for someone to kill a person and get off, but it's not okay for a boy to play league of legends on the internet and made a sarcasm threat only to get 10 years behind bars. Even if the kid threw the first punch, Zim, escalated the situation by refusing to listen to the cops and taking the law in his own HANDS.

Really?

How does it make it racist?

And under no circumstances does it gives anyone the right to take the law in their own hand.
There is nothing wrong with confronting someone who is in your community. It is a lack of intervention that has allowed our society to decay. Who cares if someone is getting beat up in the street - that's for the police to handle, not you.

When seconds count - the police are just minutes away.

That is why predators win in our society. They've preyed and gone, and the police just fill out paperwork to go to a group of over-worked investigators who are working three different incidents performed by this same individual.

Who ever you are, you say the killing was justified right? Tell me something, You're walking home and you notice your being followed. so you run and the person follows you. You cannot sit by your computer and tell me you would not react in how the kid did, or try to defend yourself. Get your facts straight.

Martin did not run. Martin rounded the block and Zimmerman lost him. Zimmerman was returning to his car when Martin came out of concealment and confronted Zimmerman.

If this were me in the picture - I would have either turned around and asked the man if I could be of some service. I don't care if he plans to rob me or not. In a quick size-up, I know if my options are best to flee or just knock the hell out of him if he tries anything.

Failing that, if I just decided to evade - then I would not have re-initiated contact. I would have remained in concealment and done counter-surveillance.

It's no different than when I think someone is following me while driving. I'll take a long country road, round a block or two, just to make sure they are following me (no one has been - just drunks that like to crawl inside of my trunk).

Not sure if that's you in the picture but just in case it is, I am sure in the army, if this kind of thing happen in the field where you were being follow you would act if not like the kid but similarly.
No, I wouldn't.

I'm Navy. Trained in security operations. Zimmerman made a valid choice to follow the kid. He saw suspicious behavior and took action to make sure that he had a visual so that he could make sure the region he was responsible for remained secure.

In security, we have what is known as a "Quick Reaction Force." I'm sure you've heard about it in the computerized training you have to do between stocking shelves. We also have designated roving watches. When a sentry spots suspicious behavior he/she directs either (or, depending upon the situation, both) to interdict. If it's a TCN on the base behaving awkwardly, a direct confrontation is had. If it's something going on outside of the base, a portion of the QRF becomes a temporary supplemental sentry or rover to make sure the compound stays secure while we direct Host Nation police/security to deal with what is going on.

What you're saying about dressing is completely retarded even though that's what people in today society portray.
If i wear a hoody that makes me a gang banger? wtf? if that's the case why is it even sold in store???
It's not just a hoodie. But it does contribute to the image. Hoodies are preferred because it helps to conceal the identity of the individual.

Wearing a hoodie doesn't make you a gang banger. It increases your visual similarity to one. How many times have you heard this in your career, kid: "Perception is reality?"

If your Captain or Sergeant walks by and perceives you as sitting around and doing nothing - what happens? You get treated as if you're doing nothing, most often. What happens if you're just wandering around in a stack of paper in your hands? No one questions you. You look busy, and therefor are. Even if you have a lost expression on your face - people will ask who you are looking for or what department you're trying to find.

Grab a pizza box and you instantly have TS:SCI clearance.

The fact of the matter is, he saw this kid, "looking" not doing any crime, but Looking and walking home, and from his deduction from the boy, He looks like he does drugs or something? how the **** a person going to say because a boy has a hoody on he does drugs?
And Zimmerman was simply looking. He wasn't doing any crime.

He should have gotten hard time for what he did, I refuse to believe someone who study Criminal justice and train in the art of fighting, gets beat up by a 17 year old kid half his body weight.
Be honest with me. You haven't been through hand-to-hand training, yet, have you?

Probably not even in a combat role.

The fact of the matter is, he pursue the kid with a weapon after the cops told him not to, let them do their job....he took the law in his own hands which no one should have a right to under no circumstances.
The law can't dictate where George Zimmerman is allowed to go on public streets. The cops did not tell him not to pursue. The person on the other end wasn't even a 911 dispatch authority - it was a non-emergency line.

Your line of logic is fundamentally flawed. I -can- intervene in a crime in progress. That's not "the law" that must solely respond to that. If not - I would be guilty of some crime for yanking someone off of your daughter while he was in the middle of raping her.

And if I can do that, why can I not follow someone if I feel a crime by that person is imminent?

What America just stated is, it's okay for someone to kill someone and get off, but it's not okay for a boy to play league of legends on the internet and made a sarcasm threat only to get 10 years behind bars.
No. That is not what America just stated.

That is what the State of Florida and the State of Ohio said in two separate incidents in two separate states.

We have a legal system in place to evaluate each incident of a crime. While legal precedents are set from time to time and do influence other cases - neither of these cases are setting a real precedent.

You need to learn that this is a united country, not "One" country.

The reason we're about to destroy ourselves is because too many people think of this as 'one country.' Which it is not. It is a unification of nation-states that have the authority to make laws and render legal decisions independently of each other.

So a man is acquitted by a jury of his peers according to the US constitution because they did not find sufficient evidence to convict him without a reasonable doubt and you want to kill him just because you have a hunch he was in the wrong?

What if you kill him and in a years time we find out that trevon was the one robbing the houses around there and that zimmerman did make the right decision? Well whoops, you just killed an innocent man based on a hunch and now you are the profiling, racist, murderer.

So then, what do you think when a man is executed and later found to be innocent? Are you glad he was killed because at that time you thought he was guilty?

Don't care bout hypothetical. Fact is he was told not to pursue Trayvon, but he did and killed him. Yes I want zimmerman to get killed, nothing will change that

Then you want to live in a world where we kill each other based upon whims?

I've no problems with that. But I suspect you would not be so willing... or fare too well.
No whim if i'm innocent and some one confronts me and they have a gun, I'd hope to shoot them first

You have not paid any attention to the actual evidence in the case, have you?

Martin rounded the block in an attempt to evade Zimmerman. The attempt was successful. Zimmerman lost contact with Martin and was returning to his car.

Martin then re-initiated contact with Zimmerman. The physical evidence is consistent with the claim that Martin attacked Zimmerman and began bashing his head into the concrete.

No whim if i'm innocent and some one confronts me and they have a gun, I'd hope to shoot them first
If someone confronts you, and you are innocent, why would you need to shoot them first?

You realize that you essentially just said: "Any time a police officer speaks to me, I'm going to shoot him first."

You're being ridiculous.

There is no "he said she said."

There is physical evidence. The entry wound on Martin is consistent with the story told by Zimmerman - that he shot while Zimmerman was on top of him and bashing his head into the concrete.

The time elapsed between the end of Martin's phone call and the shot heard on the call from a resident is 4 minutes.

All evidence suggests that it was Martin who initiated the attack and that Zimmerman fired in self-defense.

There is no he-said-she-said to this. Now you're just being ignorant and calling for the killing of people.

Finally someone who has sense. Honestly i am finish with this thread, because what this guy is telling me, is it's okay for someone to call 911 to report someone "who they thought was doing something wrong because he had on a hood and looked like he does drug" that is one of the stupidest thing i ever heard. To make matters worst, he peruse the kid with a weapon. It's not rocket sciences, if you carry a "gun" and you did some shit like this after saying " i'm tired of A whole like this getting away with shit" in which you killed someone, how the **** is that self defense? Self defense went out the window the moment that **** decided to peruse an unharmed kid with a weapon.

None of this would have happen if he had actually Listen. "We do not need you to peruse" And that's the problem with society, No one listen. And I love how the idiot who replayed to you avoided the question if that was him being follow and chase by someone, if they wouldn't reacted the way this boy kid. This is just like the O Jay case, i wouldn't be surprise if this ass whole comes out with a book about how he did it.

I don't wish any bad things on zim, But it sure is good news that they are re looking this investigation and bringing this **** back to court.
