This is merely a peice of a larger theory I am putting together, I am posting this for self reference purposes and to share my thoughts and get feedback. If you are truly interested in understanding the larger picture of this theory I recommend reading all the parts as they are all quite short.
I have recently come to believe that a variation of the 3rd Eye Technique of Sungakure will be used in conjucntion with the IT (Infinite Tsukuyomi) which is a part of the EoTM (Eye of the Moon Plan). Over the past week I have been putting together my evidences for this theory afterwhich I will put everything together. Below is the 3rd peice of evidence I have found in support of this theory.

I have recently come to believe that a variation of the 3rd Eye Technique of Sungakure will be used in conjucntion with the IT (Infinite Tsukuyomi) which is a part of the EoTM (Eye of the Moon Plan). Over the past week I have been putting together my evidences for this theory afterwhich I will put everything together. Below is the 3rd peice of evidence I have found in support of this theory.
Introduction
In this thread I will be discussing some ways that I see Obito foreshadowing the 3rd Eye Technique of Sungakure, now ofcourse this is going to be very subtle as the term "Foreshadowing" implies. But bare with me on this.
Chapter 1: The Masked Man
The supposed reason that Obito wears his mask is in order to hide his Identity. Now this doesnt make much sense because very few people knew him as a gennin so I doubt many people in the village itself would recognize him not to mention people outside of it. The reason for Obito's Mask has never really been understood, other than him just being secretive. One can say that he wears it so that people wont realize he isnt Madara, but very few people had even seen Madara to know the difference between them... Perhaps if someone noticed that he was Obito then they would know he wasnt really Madara, but even that is a long shot in itself. So we start this all off with Obito wearing this mask for no real reason.
*But if he truly didnt want to be noticed by someone thinking it could be Obito then why only have 1 eye hole? Wouldnt that send red flags into the guy who knew that he got one of his eyes from an Uchiha that was suppose to be dead... How many one eye Uchiha are out there?*
But more importantly his mask only has 1 eye, and we also know that he had more than 1 eye at his disposal. So then why did the mask only have 1 eye? Compare this:

Now this is going to be a bit of a build of the first chapter. Now as you all know after declaring war on the Shinobi Alliance the Masked Man changed his Mask. And in these changes he had a 2nd eye hole so he could see with his other eye, but the motif still remained:
Although the 2nd eye hole would give him a total of 2 eyes, if you pay close attention to the mask itself the patterns on it form a 3rd eye on his forehead... A 3rd Eye. This again foreshadows the 3rd Eye Technique.

Chapter 3: Obito's Plan
Lastly lets look at something Obito says.
He says that using the Juubi's power he is going to take his eye to the Ultimate level and afterwards he will activate a certain jutsu (Infinite Tsukuyomi).
Now one thing that one should pay attention to is the proclaimed ultimate level. The Sage was also the Juubi's Jinchuriki and yet we have heard nothing of a Doujutsu that he could access. So then what could this ultimate level be? Perhaps he isnt referring to a new doujutsu, but rather, literally taking his Doujutsu to the ultimate level.
Perhaps the ultimate level is the Moon becoming his eye? After which he would cast a certain Jutsu, Infinite Tsukuyomi, on the world which is now under his gaze.
By the way, Akatsuki in japanese means... "Red Moon"

Conclusion
What do you guys think? Is it likely that the Infinite Tsukuyomi could be a variation of the 3rd Eye Technique of Sungakure?
