The Hyuugas do have an untapped potential that Kishi has decided not to expand upon because he thought their power would still be obvious even later on, but his recent hyping of the Uchihas and giving Hyuugas no spotlight has not helped his case at all in that respect, mostly because the storyling revolves around the senju, uchiha and uzumaki because the main characters are related to those specific clans.

If the two were to have a child with exceptionally long life force and LOADS of chakra, then its quite possible that, if they learned it, they could spam powerful moves that cost chakra like rotation or vacuum palm to the point where they could possibly overpower others or turn it into a battle of endurance where the hyuuga chakra control combined with the large chakra reserves means that no one could outlast the in a fight.

Sharingan may be able to copy nin, gen and taijutsus =, but it's no where NEAR perfect, Kakashi is the only one who shows skill in the copying ability. Sasuke copied lee's taijutsu, yet it took him a WHOLE MONTH to be able to use it effectively in battle

All MS jutsus come with big negative side effects.
Izanagi & Izanami will cause the user to go blind after one usage.

Let me make this clear. The Uzumaki as a clan (so far) have only been mentioned to be skilled at fuinjutsu and no offensive jutsus.

The Hyuga have been called the Strongest of Konoha MORe than once throughout the series and Gai has stated that their fighting style is the best in Konoha.

I agree but to be a fighter u don't need offensive jutsu..They could have been great taijutsu users or even Kenjutsu at a high level jus because they were called Priest doesn't necessarily mean they had no fighting abilities. Shaolin monks are Priest but they are fighters as well.. Jus saying

Just plain Byakugan and Sharingan= No point in discussing because eyes alone without a wielder don't do anything.

The thing is you are attributing the abilities of the prodigies of the uchiha's with the rest of the clan which you cannot do. Remember, the sharingan is actually somewhat RARE amongst this clan and not everyone in their clan is a prodigy like the most prominent members.

The Hyuugas are all born with the byakugan meaning they all have the potential to have the same abilities because of their KKG being accessible to them at birth. If you were to compare an average hyuuga to an average uchiha without sharingan, the uchiha will lose. Its simple as that. Give him the 3 tomoe or maybe even the 2 tomoe and he has a fighting chance, but without the eyes to help him out, unless he is a prodigy in taijutsu or at least proficient in some of the other areas of fighting then it is a guaranteed loss.

it basically goes like this:

average Hyuuga > average Uchiha w/o sharingan
average Hyuuga >= average Uchiha w/2-tomoe
average Hyuuga = average Uchiha w/3-tomoe
average Hyuuga < MS user (usually a prodigy of some sort)
