The thing is you are attributing the abilities of the prodigies of the uchiha's with the rest of the clan which you cannot do. Remember, the sharingan is actually somewhat RARE amongst this clan and not everyone in their clan is a prodigy like the most prominent members.

The Hyuugas are all born with the byakugan meaning they all have the potential to have the same abilities because of their KKG being accessible to them at birth. If you were to compare an average hyuuga to an average uchiha without sharingan, the uchiha will lose. Its simple as that. Give him the 3 tomoe or maybe even the 2 tomoe and he has a fighting chance, but without the eyes to help him out, unless he is a prodigy in taijutsu or at least proficient in some of the other areas of fighting then it is a guaranteed loss.

it basically goes like this:

average Hyuuga > average Uchiha w/o sharingan
average Hyuuga >= average Uchiha w/2-tomoe
average Hyuuga = average Uchiha w/3-tomoe
average Hyuuga < MS user (usually a prodigy of some sort)

you don't need sharingan to perform a chidori but you need byakugan to perform 64 palms.......

don't worry I don't think your crazy. Only a select few members of the Hyuuga are elite enough to even compete with MS users despite what other people may claim. This doesn't necessarily mean that the byakugan is equal to MS in power, but their skill with it is enough to be on par with them or relatively close to it.

They were only shown to demonstrated the power of the uchiha. The sharingan's abilities is what made them so elite but for them it has to be unlocked under certain situations unlike for a hyuugas byakugan who is born with it.

a sharingan/byakugan user is only as good as they person using the eyes. not all sharingan users are > byakguan users and vice versa, but when comparing an average person from each clan, the hyuugas will always have an advantage because they were born with their abilities whereas the uchihas have to unlock them and then master them on top of that

on the contrary, it is rather overrated because it has always been displayed by prodigious users of the eye. whereas we have seen all levels of ability of a hyuuga.

Again, an Uchiha character without the Sharingan wasn't introduced. All the familiar Uchihas we've seen DOES have the Sharingan. Sasuke, Itachi, Madara, Obito, Shisui, and Izuna all have Sharingan:/
So why are you bringing the rareness of the eyes into the topic?....

Not quite, the user don't effect the eye ability. Neji had a 359 degree vision, can see chakra just like the much weaker Hinata. Kakashi can copy jutsu's like like every other 3 tomoe user. The talent/skills of a shinobi only effects how well they can wield the eye ability.

Anyways, the Uzumaki aren't even FIGHTERS (as a clan), they only specialize in Fuinjutsu while the Hyuga are fighters, and some of the best in Konoha. So I don't see how you could say Uzumaki clan > Hyuga Clan

Hyuga suck as fighters. Nobody from Hyuga clan is even close to being Top 15 from Konoha

Even Sakura > Neji, who was considered one of the strongest Hyugas. (she doesn't even have to fight... Just her summon alone can kill Neji )
