I agree with everything you said, Kishimoto spread his wings too thin creating many characters but leaving most of them in the dust in favor of a selected few.

The trajectory of the series has changed from part 1 - Shippuden, before the key thematics are hard work and perseverance, now it's all about destiny,prophecy and pseudo-DBZ powers.

I also believe that Deidara > Orochimaru (without Edos).

I dislike Obito .. IMO .. he could have been written better .. and even now when he's Juubito .. I still don't get that liking-this-character vibe .. I'm not sure why .. but just because he's powerful I don't see why so many people like him .. besides most his power is just hax U_U .
