Try to make your best team of 5. I am going to restrict some characters and i will place some criteria. It's simple the team does not have to be the strongest thats not what the aim is being the best is. So not so much 1 man armies as a well rounded team. Imagine if you will the team starts in an undisclosed location and they dont know who they are fighting in battle who would you pick. Here are mine.
Restricted characters that people would obliviously pick and say each one shot a team which is not true are
Madara
Hashirama
Third Raikage
Obito
Kabuto
Nagato
Pein
Also no edo characters please
Deidera, as he can fly and scout the enemy and get an idea of the terrain and not much can get him when he is in the air and he can do massive damage with his bombs.
Minato, as he would be the fastest and best in terms of assassination and would help with team transportation and can hold his own against anyone. Also awesome sealing and sensoring
Itachi, as his amerterasu is pretty much a one shot jutsu and his genjutsu can easily paralyze opponents.
MUU, well he also has flying, combined with invisibility and sensoring he could easily scout at the enemy, head back to base formulate a plan with the team and take them out by surprise.
Kisame, as he could create a water dome say around a building keeping any attacks from getting in and can absorb chakra from attacks though im not sure how fast.
