I disagree with this, just seeing how the user becomes intangible. The Gakido/Shameda must be touching the target to absorb the chakara. Obito's Kamui allows him to transport parts or all of his body into the Kamui dimension, so saying they can absorb it is like saying they have access to the Kamui dimension without using Kamui

A very well thought out theory, something I haven't really considered too much.
I suppose that both the Preta Path and Samehada (and by extension, both Killer Bee and Kisame) COULD counter Kamui if chakra is indeed present in the "ripple" that is caused by the eye technique. Though, for Samehada more then the Preta Path; is it fast enough to react to it? If Kakashi were to use it on Kisame's leg, would Samehada be able to react and absorb the chakra before harm is done?
The counter is there, but it's rather hard to pull off. Though, it would probably be much more effective on Obito's version of Kamui, when he goes to absorb you that is, then Kakashi's ranged version.

Kamui is pretty fast seeing how Obito stopped Lord Sasuke from blitzed by Onoki and absorbed Lord Sasuke's Susano'o Arrow.
Gaara control his Sand through Chakra(Or infuse with Chakra), right? Then by it simply being deprive from chakra it can be absorbed? Which means you can take chakra out of Gaara's Sand?

I would assume the chakra that causes it is centered in the sharingan itself rather than the outside world. The ripple/wrinkle would just be the effects of the jutsu but not actually chakra. So it couldn't be absorbed.
Regardless it's probably too fast to absorb in time. You'd have to recognize it and immediately react with absorption.

The only thing I agree with is that every jutsu has a weakness.

I think pretha path or any chakra absorbing jutsu is not a good counter for kamui. Here is the reason :
1. Kamui is near instant.
Unlike amaterasu, kamui cannot be "sensed" . Once kamui appears on the opponent, he loses.
The only technique which actually countered kamui was ftg, but ftg is instant and pretha path is not.
Examples for kamui's instant speed can be :
1. obito saving sasuke from jinton.
2. Kakashi kamui naruto's clone while he was running + kakashi kamui his own fast raiton kunai (which scratched tobi's mask)
2. Kamui also absorbs.
Much like pretha path, kamui also absorbs(not the ninjutsu but the opponent itself). While kamui is activated, one requires very good instincts and speed feats to actually use pretha path before getting absorbed in kamui itself as kamui is just like a blackhole.
3. Kamui can be used even when the user is in hiding.
Kakashi showed good display of kamui when he teleported that missile during pain arc and protected choji.
4. It is still not sure that kamui can actually be absorbed.
Yes kamui maybe a ninjutsu but it is also a S/T technique.
You see , the mechanics of S/T jutsu are a bit different than regular ninjutsu, which is the reason why it is categorized as different "type" of ninjutsu and not ninjutsu itself.
To fully counter your entirely "theoretical" theory, i also have manga proof :
Bugs were absorbing chakra, obito become intangible, bugs lost track of him. Which means bugs ,even though they were constantly absorbing chakra(in our case,pretha path won't even be able to react in time,so we won't even get to this situation) weren't able to absorb kamui .

1) Kamui does not contain chakra
U can see in many instances where Obito came into a certain location through Kamui, but others can't even feel his presence;eg - Hinata, Kcm Naruto and others( who were sensor types)
2) I basically think it is more likely a wormhole in spacetime and thats how he can travel so fast and the two dimensions are connected that way..I made a thread about this one..Check it out if you have no problem with this
