I did it once by accident as a child, I freaked out, but the got use to it, But I am kind of
so arrogant in my mind, that I always am i control of my dreams.

Oh good. Something to do tonight.

I actually have them often, it all started when I watched the movie Inception, (watch it. its about lucid dreaming) and I always wanted to control it so I keep telling myself that i'm dreaming. However, it only lasts for a brief period, but it's pretty awesome, you have full control over everything I was flying (Literally).

its called astral projection. anyways the more you try the more you are gunna fail it has to happen to u accident then you learn from that

Astral projection is not lucid dreaming bud.
Astral projection is literally leaving your body while in a consciouss non-thought state.

Astral Projection as YowYan pointed out, not even remotely related to Lucid Dreaming.

Anyhow, I can usually tell most of the time - if I am not stressed - that I am dreaming. But, the dream rarely gives you much control and it ends fairly quickly. On the other hand, I have had many surreal, rather premonition-esque dreams. I won't share much, must all of them turn out to be true.

Yes i understand your reasoning but still you will miss the real life out there, i would rather date a real woman in real life rather in a dream-get it.

The purpose of those odd spiritual/psychedelic experiences is to form a new perspective on our reality and to wake up some creativity inside you. Most people I know that experienced such things mention their lives changed for the better in terms of their perspective of life.

I get sleep paralysis all the time but I get too scared I just want someone to wake me up, I can never really relax and turn it into lucid dreaming.

I'm a writer/philosopher I get most of my ideas from dreams. I just want the ability to control my dreams.

YowYan do you know how to astral project because I've tried the thing that never seems to occur is sleep paralysis which is the essential I would also think astral projection is much easier than the lucid dream which ddepends on memory of yourself telling you your its a dream or looking for something in your dream

Actually ..astral projection aka OBE is the hardest one to achieve D: But also the best experience.

You can trigger AP while lucid dreaming or when in a Sleep paralysis. Just google the steps.

Takes practice though. And I'm talking about meditation. Some people experience those phenomena randomly like Sinfonia. Sadly, I'm not that lucky.

The first dream I had that I could control myself was when I was young and jumped down my stairs and started to fly. Was real into DBZ back then.

I've had so many lucid dreams. From playing the hero in a thriller case to meeting celebrities. They usually happen when I wake up around sunrise to pray and then go back to bed for a few hours before school begins. For those few hours, the dream realm is almost completely mine.
