[Theory] Just how strong is Jiraiya...

So i was thinking... just how strong is Jiraiya if Itachi said that if they attacked him with Kisame they would die, i mean Itachi and Kisame what an overpowered duo and still, or maybe Itachi taught that killing someone strong who protects the Leaf village would be a shame? it is true that he died fighting Pain, but he basicly sacrificed himselfe, and i think that if he had known about Pains power or secret... he would have won, he basicly has infinite Sage mode with those 2 overpowered Sage toads on hes shoulders with a lot of abilities we still don't know, and he easily got away from Pain i was really sad when he died... Sage mode, summonings, rasengan, seals, that... hair jutsu, a lotof incredible jutsu like that toad oil combo i think he was one of the finest..... and an other thing..... that white hair..... Tobimara, Kakashi, Jiraiya superstrong lads with white hair... not sure what to think of that...

Yep, thats right, but if Jiraiya had knowladge of that ability, i guess he would have targeted that one first or searched for it since that one didnt come out at the beginning of the fight. but still a full on fight with Jiraijy knowing pains secret beween the two of them would have been epic.

wht i think not only u r new 2 d base but also started watching naruto recently.
did u even watch d fight between edo nagato vs Naruto,Edo-Itachi and B.
it took 3 top rated shinobi 2 seal him.plus in pain arc nagato was ready 2 fight naruto.
Possibly beat naruto if they fought.
so how on earth Jiraya can beat him?

Well he was Edo, and he would have already died from black flames if he was still alive(not sure about this since he was able to get the flames off himselfe), Jiraija didn't need sealing, and also even if Nagato was uzumaki he had limited supply of chakra, Jiraiya had 2 toads geathering nature energy meaning infinite chackra and with that he was superstrong superfast, with nature energy healing his body, he lost his arm because pain surprised him, but Jiraiya was actually able to perform signs with his feet, like he did under the fight with pain, and he was able to retreat easily into that toad, so im still on Jiraiyas side and we still dont know a lot about his abilities and nearly the whole fight Jiraiya was trying to realise Pains abilities. But yeah i might be wrong, this is my opinion tho

and he was able to make seals on a paper that comleatly drained or made the nintails chakra disappear.

and btw i've been watching naruto for years, i'm only new to this site

Well, jiraiya has a infinite sage mode which make him a infinite sensing type, that means he could easyly dodge amaterasu, about genjutsu which itachi is the most powerful one the other is shisui, well if itachi used genjutsu or tsukoyomi it wobt work, ma and pa could just woke jiraiya up, and if itachi used the tsukoyomi they couldve stab him in the hands to escape from tsukoyomi.. and susanoo nah probably just 30-35% that it would be useful.

first of all r u telling me Jiraya hasnt shown any ability while fighting pain.
r u telling us that all those summoning(including 2sage toad)+Hair jutsu(or whatever it is)+Sage mode+Taijutsu r not enough.well guess wht he showed all the fans wht he really got.and died on d battlefield.
and without Nagato,6 paths of pain overkilled Jiraya(crushed his throat,stabbed multiple roads,took an arm).wht else u need.

yep not sure how would the fight beween them go, because Itaci was super smart, Jiraija was super experienced, but Itachi had quite a limited chakra, and to defend from Jiraiyas powerful attacks he would have needed to use some strong defense, guess Susano, and Itachi cant keep taht up for long, and Jiraiya could overcome that by playing with him untill hes out of chakra, dont thik that sealing sword of Itachis could hit Jiraiya and since orochimaru had knowladge of that sealing weapon i think jiraiya also known about that, and to avoid it so im Jiraiyas side again.
