Sasuke's going to follow Itachi's path and kill Naruto.

we can see that Sasuke intends to destroy the tailed beasts for peace.

So once everything is said and done with Madara and Obito,

That's how Sasuke vs Naruto is going to come about.

Sasuke wants to kill Kurama, along with all the other beasts.

The peices that make up the Juubi.

Now, there's something actually a bit deep there.

In the sense that the pieces aren't evil, just the whole.

Which is essentially a metaphor for not just the Uchiha clan, but the entire ninja military system.

itachi's way was slaughtering innocent babies and mindraping children. also doing nothing about threats to konoha till it ws too late.
sasuke protected sakura and naruto, and is actively trying to defeat the thing that itachi helped unleash.

This is easily remedied:

Orochimaru said he wanted to see where Sasuke's wind was blowing.

Meaning that he'll gladly put a barrier around Naruto and Sasuke for their duel.

But that isn't Itachi's path for him.

No, but it's the path/mistake that Itachi took: killing for the sake of peace, even when some don't deserve it.

Sasuke never fully agreed with that until Hashirama validated it.

Because in Hashirama/Itachi/Sasuke's mind, peace is the ultimate objective, and sacrifices must inevitably be made.

hashirama is not like itachi. hashirmaa killed madara when madara gave him absolutely no choice and proved he was beyond saving. itachi murdered children who didnt know about the coup,supported danzo's dictatorship, tried to kill konoha jounins just defending their home and helped kill innocent jinchurikis just to maintain his cover as a spy
