I have been going through threads and I believe that a lot of the community seriously underestimates Minato, personally I think that Minato would have a good chance at beating Itachi, though I don't know how he would do against Genjutsu.

Minato: (in thought) This is my mission to kill the legendary uchiha * Throws ftg shurkiens everywhere on trees so he can move around
Itachi: hmmm
* Throws a ftg kunui pass itachi who weaves it and the minato appears and attempts to attack with a rasengan but before that lighty taps itachi's shoulder and then launches rasengan as their eyes met.*
Minato: Gotcha
* Giant eyes appear behind minato*
Itachi: Not quite ( we see itachi across from minato and he turns into crows.)
Minato: ( begins laughing) As i thought ( minato appears behind him because of the tags placed on itachi * light tap remember.* and he launches a rasengan again but itachi blocks with susnaoo.) I knew you were a genjustu master so i used my FTG to find the real you just in case i cast in an genjutsu.
Itachi: clever
