Background Info.
After returning from his trip to Rock village, Goro became a sensei and raised two mighty students (Raiden and Devlin). Things where peaceful in konoha and like always Goro grew bored and eager for adventure. He set out to expand his knowledge on the elemental forces and how to better interact with them, so that he could create his own.
One day whilst tampering with a bottle of liquid hydrogen, Goro hypothesized that if kept pressurized hydrogen(and kept from direct oxygen contact and in it's liquid state) is non combustible and is great at absorbing heat. For several months he worked on a way to keep hydrogen once introduced into a non pressurized zone to keep form exploding. Due to these many experiments two oddly shaped lightning bolt scars where made over his eyes...as well as losing his eye brows for a bit.
During a dark and stormy night, up late working Goro completed his experiment. But as fate would have it he would be attack by some missing-nin. Goro easily took out most of the missing-nin, however one used a wind jutsu and caused a huge explosion of the new element. Goro sought to protect himself and started to dawn his bone armor. However the explosion was so vast that he was stricken unconscious midway in growing his armor, and only bone covered his chest stretch across his shoulder blades and down his arms and hands. Both legs were also covered, leaving a giant gap in the armor around the torso.
When he woke up, he discovered his home destroyed and had many deep wounds. Goro was dragged into Konoha General were he rested until his wounds healed. Everyday while in the hospital he trained his mind and body so that we was release he could extract his revenge from the bastard who injured him so gravely. He trained his body so that it almost thought on it's own will. Due to the explosion, strangely when Goro released his armor (or any bone from his body) it has a jet black/purplish color to it.
Goro searched the various shinobi village looking for the the guy who survived and blew up his home, killing anyone who came in his path.
