Brett Ratner Confirms God of War Movie

Now I don?t know if Brett Ratner is dreaming of becoming the next Uwe Boll or what, but as far as I can tell, he?s made mention that he wants to direct two movies based on videogames ? ?God of War? and ?Guitar Hero?. When the whole ?God of War? rumor surfaced a while back, it was just a rumor. Now, er, not so much. Brett Ratner has confirmed that he will, indeed, be directing a movie version of the game ?God of War?, which as far as I can tell, is about some tattoo dude who, like, beats people up in Ancient Rome. Or something. Unsurprisingly, I?ve never played the game. Can you tell?

We caught up with him recently and confirmed either your greatest dream or biggest fear: Brett Ratner is indeed making a movie based on the video game series, God of War. Honestly, I love the Kratos games, however, they aren?t exactly the deepest when it comes to story, so he might just be the right person to handle the film adaptation.
You can see Brett Ratner talking to UGO about waiting for the script for ?God of War? to be approved so he can start shooting here.
Meanwhile, here?s a little about what the game is all about:

I disagree with them making a GOW movie..

Don't get me wrong I love the GOW series, but I don't think they will be able to pull-off the blades and the type of attacks you see in the game very well, and hence, if there not going to make it look as cool as the game than they should make it at all. It mite be made into another Doom or Double-Dragon, horrific blunder. OR worse, dragonball evolution..which didn't come from a game but none the less, it was Bad.

I will agree on the other hand that it's something cool to think about, if it can be done right. >>


p.s. kratos should be played by someone that people don't reconize. Meaning, someone that isn't a wellknown celeb.

Futhermore, Kratos is a white character. The voice actor is black. Not to sound like a racist, but given the circumstances to find the right character of that time and place, to play the part correctly....................................................huh, The Odds arnt that good.

300 was great, slightly overrated, but a great movie.

The ecomony is going down, so the technology has to go up.

I don't know, I mean 20th centryFox bought Dragonball because the crowd and how famous it is, so even if they f*cked it up, they'll still have a win.

I know david the creater said he wouldn't want it being put into the wrong hands, however, David doesn't work for Sony anymore and givin the problems with Sony, they need to make money somehow.

Sorry I forgot about spiderman, because spiderman is a movie that Sony did successful at, they put in a lot of money and hit the jackpot with there films.. So I'm not sure, they could pull it off...maybe
