Sakura is and always has been overrated

In fandoms, she is underrated and hated, with rational reasons.
She's not very likable, but she is useful, a *****, caring, smart and supposed to represent a normal teenage girl. She's never bothered me. I find the hate understandable but funny at the same time.

All you so called Sakura fans are annoying as the haters. I'm a Sasuke fan for life but I never overrated Sasuke and be a duche to other people who like another char more.

Put simply...You are a hater. Sakura is not on my top ten, but that's no reason to wish death upon a character. Placing value on a character based on just shipping? You sure lack depth yourself if that is how you see things.

To top it off you analyze things incorrectly. How can you claim NaruSaku has been debunked if in the more recent issues he claimed Sakura was his girlfriend. Add to this the foreshadowing of both Kushina and Minato making comments on Sakura and not Hinata and you'd have to be blind to completely ignore the possibility of a pairing.

Sakura has also come into play on several occasions such as the time she saved Naruto's life from Orochimaru's attack in the Forest of Death, the time she saved Kankuro's life from Sasori, defeating an Akatsuki level opponent (Sasori), and getting recognition from a highly experienced ninja like Chiyo.

In contrast we got the fan-favorite Hinata who has done things such as being Neji and Nagato's punching bag so your argument is invalid. This is not meant to change your mind since you and most people are quite biased and feats don't really matter (Kabuto is a good example of this.) It's fine to dislike a character for no reason since it's your biased opinion!

Suckura does suck, but she is not overrated, as she is the most constantly bashed character on this forum.

The fandom hates sakura for no reason but she is a good character. They criticize her for crying but everytime she cried its been for her friends thats human. Sakura is the most hunan character in the series. Most of her screentime involved reflective thoughts just like hinata and shikamaru

First of all she has basically no redeeming personality traits in part 1, and very few in part 2. She has contributed very little to the plot compared to even some side characters. The entire concept of NaruSaku has been 100% debunked in canon since Naruto rejected her.

To put it bluntly, why is this character still alive?

I dont really get this sakura hate, she gas never an ultimate character in this manga + in misson thru out this manga she has fought an akatsuki, curied kanguro, healed hinata, help solved the zetsu equation and now has equaled tsunade what else do u wont het to do has a medic ninja.

Sakura is overrated because she overrates herself (example: her planning to 'kill' Sasuke herself, with a poisoned kunai) - it's an inherent character flaw of her's.

She's often seen herself as superior due to her intelligence, which... is fine, it's quite Hermione-like and therefore admirable and occasionally useful, but she lacks creativity and an ability to see outside the box more often than not.
That and she’s not the most intelligent (like Hermione) - she’s often surpassed by Kakashi, who himself occasionally surpasses the likes of Shikamaru.

Those who believe she’s underestimated - by in large due to her new emerging powers - I imagine that was done at the direction of Tsunade, to conceal her true strength… or her emerging strength (because it wasn’t ready, why reveal it?) because that’s what a true shinobi would do… so being underestimated in that respect is actually a good thing.

I always knew she was capable of more - if not for the fact she was part of Team 7 and it was somewhat necessary to have her achieve her dream of them (Sasuke & Naruto) watching her fight and protect them too.
… all the more fitting for her to get that, as Hinata got hers (to fight alongside Naruto).
In a way, as there’s balance in growth and progression between Sasuke and Naruto - there’s a balance between Sakura and Hinata. Keeps the triangle alive - which if Final Fantasy VII has proven, is a huge drive for fans.

Personally - I’m predisposed towards Naruhina for canon. In Fanfiction I have a thing for Sasuhina - so my feelings toward Sakura in general fluctuate.
I don’t hate Sakura - but she’s not my favourite character. But I do like her flaws - if she were perfect, if she was all redeeming features, all-powerful and amazing from the off or even just generally in Part II I think I (& others) would only despise her all the more for it.

All in all, I like this progression in her strength. It’s fitting that she at least equals Tsunade - and like Naruto, will surpass her Sannin master in some way.

But no - she’s not a Uchiha or a Uzumaki. She doesn’t have a Jinchuriki or EMS so if she falls short of the boys because of that - I won’t grudge her for it. And if she doesn’t fall short… well then, I’d blame Kishi for that oversight.
Powerful she might be now, but at this point in time I don’t think it would be realistic for her to equal Sasuke or Naruto… but I like that she can at least keep up, be useful and not cry now.
