Yes, once he moves out of range the technique is basically useless. He regains his abilities + chakra, allowing him to use any of his techniques.

Description: The user, after having obtained some of the opponent's blood, touches a summoning that the opponent is controlling, causing a kanji formula to generate which forces the summoner to lose control of that summon. The summon does not fight for the user, but instead disappears back to its summon realm.
Note: Can only be used twice.

So if you can somehow manage to obtain some of your enemies blood, and you can physically make contact with his summon without it killing you, this is a fun technique. Touch my Blue Heron, spreading a kanji formula all over its body, that will force it to desummon back to it's homeland.

However this flows through the nervous system and restricts the movement of muscles. This slows down the opponent and prevents him from using A-rank Tai and above for three turns.

This is the seal Danzo used when he was kicking Sasuke's ass. Remove a sealing tag and write the kanji for "Restrict" on it. Then place it onto my clones body while you focus chakra into it. This should release an electrical current that slows down my clone's body, restricting from using certain techniques.

(Shishienjin) - Four Violet Flames Battle Encampment

Description: This technique requires four people to use. The people must be standing forming a square, they will then make the snake handseal and clasp their hands. A barrier forms around them on all sides, stopping anyone from outside from coming into the square. If they touch the walls, they will be burnt by violet flames. The casters can add a secondary barrier inside to prevent them from being attacked by enemies caught within the square; although by doing so, they are unable to attack as well.

So for this technique you need four people. Youself + three clones, or just four clones total. Arrange yourself in a square formation around my clones, and then perform the Snake hand seal before clasping your hands together. Then extend and shape your chakra around them to form a cube-like prison

2-3. A strong enough A-rank attack will break the barrier.

The thing is, this technique was an early canon technique. So, while really cool and all, it's underpowered at the moment. If the technique was S-rank, it would be a lot more useful in battle. But, since it's A-rank, it's mostly just for show.

I start by performing the required handseal for the shadow clone technique and hence creating 4 clones of mine who stand in a square formation around your clones. Soon after taking their positions, my clones make the snake handseal together and clasp their hands and focuses chakra in the square, which creates a barrier around the your clones who are surrounded. After the barrier has been made successfully, they make another same barrier from inside, in order to defend themselves from your clones from attacking. By doing this your clones are trapped, unable to attack my clones or to escape the site unless they destroy the barrier.
