if the fire wasn't in the air with nothing to keep it burning it would have burned him eventually

since amaterasu burns everything and cant be put out unless you seal it it with stay there burning the cloak till the user decides to stop it

I'm not sure how the cloak will be able to withstand Amaterasu completely, but i believe that Kishimoto gave Naruto this mode to fend off against Sasuke's Amaterasu, Yasaka Magatama, and so forth. My own idea is can Naruto chakra move Amaterasu since it was speculated by Sasuke that Naruto's chakra has a mind of its own.

I think Sasuke speculated that because of Kurama's influence in their last fight. It was actually a very reasonable deduction by him.

But to answer your question is that I do not believe Naruto's chakra can or will be able to actually "handle" the chakra. There was a panel when Naruto split his chakra off when he was about to get crushed by Madara's wood jutsu. So I believe the most Naruto can do is get hit by the Amaterasu and then cut off that part of the cloak and let that part burn.

He shouldn't be able to move or throw it off if that's what you mean.

The cloak will protect Naruto for a while but since the Amaterasu is everlasting, unlike other katon jutsu, in the end Amaterasu > the cloak

Your statement regarding the raikage lightning armor is invalid, the manga has never even showed supporting details that his raiton armof can defend against.such attacks, but the manga has actually shown narutos cloak fend off katon deflecting it, which is more valid than raiton armor.

When pre 3tomoeo sasuke performed a katon on naruto enhanced kurama the chakra basically surrounded naruto like a shroud sort of like sussano in a certain aspect.

probably yes...since amaterasu is just a non extinguishable fire it isn't more effective than any ordinary fire...we've alrdy seen shinobi alliance withstood madara n obito's massive katon attack in recent chapter...until kurama's cloak wears out those who r covered by it are safe maybe

Naruto's chakra cloak can protect him from amaterasu since it can protect him from great fire styles used by obito and madara which did as if nothing happened. Remember he was able to hold six tails without been burn by the slimy and highly acidic body of six tails which nearly burnt 8tils to stupor

I don't see why not, he will just need a continuous amount of chakra because the amaterasu will keep burning, or get rid of the cloak after hit by amaterasu
