Alright, as agreed upon, we'll start from the bottom. Just going to start you off a little differently since I can tell where you're at from the contents of your last threads.
_______________

Fire release is style used in the Narutoverse and in the RP that utilizes one Fire nature chakra inside their core. Fire is a very violent element that breaths and spreds it's power and destruction. It's a fast element although not as fast as Wind or lightning. The main property fire possesses is great levels of heat, capable of incinerations. When generating fire, one superheats their chakra giving them this ability and it's usually generated from the mouth (though can be released from other points of release). However, this property of heat can be used in various other ways. For example, one could add fire chakra to their bladed weapons, allowing them to easily cut harder objects like metals with ease. One can also use heat to affect their opponent without actually burning them or requirng contact with the fire. The concept of the heat stroke, the amount of heat generated can be used in ways to increase body tempatures beyond safe points and initiate fatiuge or illness that hinders your opponent. Also, waves generated by the heat can be used to alter the density and bahavior of the air. There is a technique in the RP's NB Genjutsu curriculum that does just this, utilizing katon in the atmosphere to affect the way light reflects allowing for the user to create an illusion. On a molecular level, the moicules in fire move at a rapid pace, which allows them to generate the type of heat they do. When speaking on the molecular structure, the rapid pace of this plsama element makes it a great element to work in conjunction with Lightning release. For one both are able to keep up with each other and Fire also covers for Lightning's weakness of wind. Wind>Lightning for it being a natural insulator however Fire>Wind due to the augmenting properties the wind has to feed fire with the oxygen in the air (though not the case when Wind and Fire oppose each other necessarily).
This is taken from the Training Guide with Scorps and Lili, something I'm going to get back to. This is my post on my explanation of Fire. Just read through it blah blah blah and then I want you to tell me as many elemental relationships you can with Fire. And remember relationships don't always mean opposing, you Fire can get married and have babies too (translation, fire and another element can make badass combinations). So tell me about it's opposing relationships with other elements as well as how it works well with other elements. Do that for a little bit and we'll get down to business after.

Alright I'll try to put it in a nautical sense or something idk.

I'll start with water since it's the most logical beginning. Fire's marriage with water is quite a simple one really, as the former is weak against the latter. Water is wet and puts out fire when it comes in contact with it. Water and Fire when combined either when colliding with each other or working with each other will generally have an effect of steam coming out of it. Most of the time if the fire compared to the water is tepid enough it will heat the water to the point of making it similar to a sauna but you can also make it hotter boiling your opponents alive. When on equal calibre, say B-Rank Water against A-Rank Fire, it will evaporate into a hot steam which covers the battlefield if it's big enough. This can potentially burn anyone in the area or could be used as a pseudo mist technique.

When combined with Earth, it's all different and depends on the substance given by the earth seeing as we have different variations of the Earth jutsu like Swamp of the Underworld, and other solid jutsu. Fire is neutral to earth, but I've found Earth can be used in conjunction with fire to make a type of lava. With the fire being superheated enough, it would be able to break down the earth and combine with it, taking the plasmatic state of the fire as well as the solid state of the earth and transposing it into a liquidated state which is quite handy. This is unlike Lava Release used by Kurotsuchi and Mei where for our version it's needed to create seperate techniques before making the lava. In the state of Swamp of the Underworld where the earth is already in a liquidated state, it would act more similarly to the Water release, boiling the swamp first before it completely transforms into lava, though I imagine the speed of creation would be quicker.

When used in conjunction with Lightning, it creates something very unique. From your mention in the quote before, they are both elements in a plasmatic state, and coincidentally both "yang" elements. Also as you mentioned and I'm sorry for stealing a lot of this from you but you put it so well, they're both able to keep up with each other in terms of molecular structure. They both compliment each other with their weaknesses (lightning < wind < fire). One thing I find interesting is the plasmatic state of the two elements which allow them to be used so well together. Because you're able to make the element itself intangible you can also create some interesting combos. With the fire element coming first, you can launch something of a wall towards them which is widespread and so on. Following up you can use a lightning technique spear to drive through the fire in order to hit the target. This is intended for them to initially defend against the fire but then the lightning comes first and stops the first defense from happening.
As such, even though they are neutral towards each other, they are most definitely not the best thing to defend with against their techniques.

Wind is probably the most common one we see in our RP with Fire. The element is considered weak against Fire for it's pretty much adding fuel to the fire. Though in that lies how Wind can fight against the element. Fire is composed of three objects which it requires to keep going: heat, fuel and wind/oxygen. When the Wind element is combined with fire, it will strengthen the flame by fuelling it's power and thus making it bigger. But when opposed and the two elements are clashing, Wind acts as a defuser of sorts, trying to blow out the fire like a birthday child blowing out candles. Because of this, an A-Rank Wind technique would be enough to cancel out a B-Rank Fire technique. To be honest I'm not entirely sure of what the aftermath would be after Fire and Wind collide, just a hot wind area type of thing?

Generic Copy and Paste no Jutsu!
_________________

Alright, now the way I train is a little differently than most sensei. I use Lili-Chwan and Scorp's method of training which divides the techniques of an element into four categories. Each category will have a specific number of techniques based on the similarities between the techniques, regardless of rank. I will then teach you the basic concepts of the method and test you on your knowledge and then we will continue alright?
________________________

Method 1: Basic Projectiles
Method 2: Fire Streams/Constant Fire
Method 3: Alternative Releases (Ash, Gas, etc)
Method 4: Specific/Combos

These are the four methods in this element. From this point on here is what we're going to be doing.

(1) I will give you the method and explain to you, in depth, what the method entails and then allow for any questions of clarrification

(2) I will give you bullet points of words/phrases that I will ask you to define/explain that will show me if you understand this method if I am satisfied with your explanations, we will continue. If not I will have you tweak them.

(3) I will then post all the jutsu within the category with full explinations and then you will have to do the following
~Explain the Advantages of the Method
~Explain the Disadvantages of the Method
~Discuss Strategies you could use with jutsu from this method
If I'm satisfied with these three aspects, we will continue and repeat the cycle from the top.

Any questions?
_____________

That's just a run down of what's going to happen with this training.

Method 1: Basic Projectiles

Alright, this first method fairly simple. Projectiles, just like kunai and shuriken, projectiles are weapons that leave you and travel towards your opponent. The power of the projectiles depends on the amount of force you implement in it. For example if you launch a kunai using with half your energy, it won't have as much speed and power as it would if you launched it with all your energy. That's somewhat what the concept is in paralle to rank. A D-ranked projectile technique is not as strong as a C-ranked because it doesn't have as much chakra and energy thrown into it. Now with that said we go onto to the element itself. With Fire projectiles you first:
~Gather a fixed amount you Katon chakra into the point of release (hands, feet, etc, etc)
~Condense it using shape manipulation to give it shape and focus all the chakra you gethered into the single manifestation
~Release it in the desired direction towards your target.
Now in the case where you produce multiple lightning projectiles you would follow these steps
~Gather a fixed amount of your katon chakra into the point of release
~Condense it using shape manipulation to give it shape
~Divide the chakra equally among the projectiles you are releasing allowing you to release them in close proximities (near instantly after one another)
~Then release.
The reason for this is, in the RP, when you release multiple projectiles using one jutsu, the equivalent of those individual techniques is the rank of the jutsu you release.

Example:

Projectile Fire Technique
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage: 60
Description: User exhales a single or multiple projectiles of Fire to his enemy

With this technique it says you release multiple projectiles that could be likfe 5 projectiles. Are all those projectiles A-rank? No, the sum of their energy is A-rank. If they were all A-rank that would mean you used five techniques. So what you do is, you divide the chakra and the sum of the five projectiles launched is A-rank. What does this mean? It means you can take advantage and destroy individual projectiles more easily. Say your opponent uses this technique and you do as well. If he launches 5 projectiles and you launch one, Your 1=Their 5 collective, thus meaning your 1>their 1 or their 2, or 3 individually. You can destroy some of their projectiles and have it continue towards them. However in that case, they still have other projectiles coming towards you so it's like a double edged sword.

none the less, in each case, with projectiles you release all your chakra at once condensed into these projectiles. Nothing of the chakra you gather remains after that release.

Questions?

What I seemed to get from that is that something which splits something up into many projectiles will ultimately be weaker, but in a lot of cases more effective. I won't overthink this since it didn't work out that well when I trained with Liliana, but with projectiles, the energy put into the technique will remain the same regardless of how many projectiles you shoot. So that technique would be A-Rank as a singular projectile, but if done as five projectiles they might be C-Rank individually which has the collated energy of an A-Rank technique.

That's my basic understanding of it, so no questions as of yet.

Yeah, you're good with that.

Tell me how you would perform the following

  • Create a single ball of fire
  • Create several (4) balls of fire
  • A Dragon head shaped ball of fire

So you want me to perform it or just explain how it would be done? I'm not exactly good with this bit...

I'll use the example technique you posted before as a reference if need be. :3
A single ball of fire is generally created using nature manipulation in order to create the fireball. Chakra is stored inside the lungs and compressed with x amount of chakra, and then shot out at the target. The compression usually makes it so it's confined into it's own little pouch of chakra, and then released into a projectile.

Multiple balls of fire I would say it's more of the same method, but requires a little more compression but multiples of it I would say. I guess the best analogy I can think of would be like some sort of dispenser to shoot them out. While the method is the same as the single one, it's collating your chakra and splitting it into four seperate pouches in this case, and then dispensing them in quick succession to get the multiple projectiles at once.

A projectile with a Dragons Head is a little more interesting in terms of how it's created. It's a lot similar to how the singular projectile is created, except you're using shape manipulation as well to create the look of a dragon. Because of this, usually the techniques are more compressed to keep their shape which as a result might make them more powerful due to the flames in the technique. Also I believe creating the dragon's head using shape manipulation to compress the chakra also hardens the flames in a sense, so they almost become like solid projectiles instead of tangible ones.

Alright, the general seems good, just a few minor notes. All three of these projectile based techniques utilize shape manipulation. Whenever you compress something you are compressing it into some sort of container (so to speak). Without that container you cannot compresses anything or minimize it to give it power. So, when you create anything that's compressed, even as simple as a ball of fire, you are using shape manipulation. The difference between one shape and another is the level at which the manipulation demands. Obviousluy creating a head of a dragon would be more advanced than a simple round sphere.

As for what you said based on the solidification, in any means, when you are compressing an entity, the build up creates a lot of tension and stores up a lot of energy. It doesn't actually solidify, however you give it a higher amount of density and a higher degree of fortitude so that it may create a more powerful physical impact.

As for everything else, exceptional work, however I don't expect anything less of you lol. Any more questions?

-_-

I'll show you Shichiyo Gaiden chapters if you want, Just ask me to link you.
___________

Method 1

( Ryu Kaen Bakufuu ) - Dragon Flame Blitz
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user shoots balls of fire at the opponent.

Simplistic enough, you create moderate sized balls of fire at your opponent. This technique is rudimentary so of course it's not going to have too much power and distance in it's travel, but still effective enough to cause burns for your opponent and use as a potential distraction.

( Kaen Shuriken Ranbu ) - Blazing Shuriken Dance
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will throw several shuriken at the enemy and then inflames them with fire to cause extra damage.

Again simple, you launch shuriken (kunai and other small bladed projectiles will work as well) and you enhances their power by channeling your fire chakra into them and enflaming them. Hot, sharp, metal, always something good.

( Katon: Komakai Kaki ) - Fire Release: Small Fire
Rank: D
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user spews a small fireball.

It...it can't get anymore straight forward than that can it? -_-

( Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, a ninja inhales air, and utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally.

Think of the former technique above this one, the make up of this technique is basically the same only this time the ball of fire is on a larger scale. You'll preform the six seals stated in the technique while you inhale. You'll then blow through a hole in your finger and the flames will ignite past it and you use shape manipulation to shape the flames. It's only short distance though keep that in mind.

( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

This is where the projectile techniques begin to get more unique. With this technique you preform the six seals required for the technique and you spew a volley of fireballs instead of just a single fireball. If you think back to the D-ranked technique above, (Dragon Flame Blitz) this technique is similar to that, although you spew the balls of flame in an unpredictable pattern so it seems like a whild shot. What makes this technique different is that you continue to manipulate the flames with your chakra in order to make it more difficult for your opponent to avoid them.

( Bakuhatsu Enhogan ) – Exploding Flame Shots
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user shoots multiple fire shots from their hands that are able to cause fiery explosions on impact with any object. The shots can't set the opponent on fire, though they can cause damage by exploding on him.

This technique is unique in that it isn't released in the same fashion as most Fire techniques. Instead of exhaling fire, you expell the fire shots from your hand. With this technique you compact the chakra in the flame shots so that when they make contact with the target or surface of something they explode. It doesn't cause fire or burn them the way a normal fire technique would but it damages them through the explosion.

( Katon: Hiendan ) – Fire Release: Soaring Flame Bullet
Rank: B
Type: Offense, Deffence
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user exhales a stronger yet shorter version of the Fire Release: Great Fireball technique.

Description says it all, same exact technique as Great Fireball, only bigger. In the sense, this technique proves better to use as it's stronger, requires no seals to do.

( Katon: Gōenkyū ) - Fire Release: Great Blaze Ball
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user after performing two hand seals Horse → Tiger exhales a meteor-sized sphere of fire that carries the enemy away and causes a massive explosion on impact.

This is a great technique, large range of travel, large size, everything. You make the two hand seals and you simply pour an imense amount of chakra and spew out a fireball the size of a meteor that travels towards your taget and carries them away and creates a huge explosion.

( Katon: Gōenka ) - Fire Release: Great Flame Flower
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user jumps in the air and shoots three giant bullets of fire that come down like giant meteors, then erupt into a geyser of flame.

Similar to the above technique in the whole size, range and power thing, only this time you're launching three seprate meteor sized flames down towards the ground. You'll jump and release the flames and when they make impact on the ground, they'll erupt into large geysers of flames.

( Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user fires several large dragon-shaped fireballs at their opponent after performing one handseal. It is able to alter localized weather conditions to the point of making thunder clouds when shot into the air, enabling the user to perform Kirin.

Remember when we turned our flame balls into dragon heads? Good times . This is a powerful and useful technique. It can travel long range and it has great power on it's own. However this technique's main purpose is stated in it's description. You use it to create the weather conditions to set up for Kirin, the Lightning Release technique. With this technique you spew one/several (up to five I believe) Fire balls that are shaped like Dragon heads. They can be used for offensive purposes to attack your opponent or to set up for Kirin, but doing the latter is a little more difficult to pull off then you might think

( Katon: Hōsenka Tsumabeni ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user unleashes a volley of shuriken with one hand, while at the same time exhaling fire-infused chakra onto them in order to increase the weapons' destructive potential by making them capable of inflicting severe burns upon direct contact with either the intended victim or any other object caught within their trajectories. Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken will continue to burn after impact, regardless of the flammability of the object that they ultimately collide with.

This is essentially a more powerful version of the preavious pheonix Sage technique. This time, you'll release shuriken and exhale fire onto them. The fire will be vastly stronger than the flames of the previous and will burn stronger on the target(s)

(Katon: Zukokku) - Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work
Rank: A
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Rat → Dog → Tiger fires a small fireball that erupts into a giant fire-storm after making contact with a surface, causing widespread destruction to the area. Since the flames travel along the ground, and cover such a wide area this is a difficult technique to evade. When combined with Wind Release: Pressure Damage, this technique is amplified to the point of being able to evaporate a large amount of water in an instant.

This is essentially the last thing we just did I would say. With this technique, you focus a large amount of your fire chakra in your body and release it in a compact ball. The ball will travel and upon impact, it'll explode into a large flame storm. If released onto the ground the flame storm will continue to travel. A great frontal attack and greatly powerful. All you need is the three seals for the technique.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and breath out from their mouth a large fireball that travels at the opponent. As it reaches the opponent it bursts into a maelstrom of fire engulfing them in flames.

Similar to the last one, only this time you create a large fire ball and the technique isn't being compressed so much so that it'll burst into a large flame, the flames will burst on impact with your opponent but the malestorm is essentially as big as the ball of fire itself if I'm not mistaken.

This is the first set of techniques, any questions before we proceed?

Alright, now I want you to tell me the advantages and disadvantages to this first method. Look at the similarities these techniques possess and classify them. Tell me why these techniques would be useful and how they can be hindering. Then I want you to tell me some strategies. How you'd use these techniques together and/or with other skills and abilities. This is step three of my template

(3) I will then post all the jutsu within the category with full explinations and then you will have to do the following
~Explain the Advantages of the Method
~Explain the Disadvantages of the Method
~Discuss Strategies you could use with jutsu from this method

Okay, so one of the main things which all these jutsu have in common which should be a given is that these are all projectiles. This itself is an advantage when compared to streams because it's like you're throwing something. Once the projectile leaves your body, you can go ahead and perform something else while the fire is in mid-flight, which is incredibly convenient. A lot of these techniques also have large size to them, with one of them iirc being the size of a meteor. Using the last little part, you can use it as a wall of sorts, hiding hand seals from people you don't want to see them, or hiding another whole technique behind it, without them knowing.

A few of these techniques, especially as you go further up into the ranks have explosive qualities to them, so after a certain amount of time they will erupt or explode on contact, leaving additional damage. I don't think it's really a strong advantage, but it's something to keep a note of.

I guess a disadvantage to these techniques is that they all need a considerable amount of shape manipulation in comparison to streams. Using your container metaphor, you'd be trying to throw this container at someone with the contents inside, whereas a stream it would be more like spilling it towards them, in a sense. Because of the much needed shape manipulation, they might take longer to perform in terms of building the chakra, moulding it into the shape you want and finally releasing it. Along these lines, a lot of them also come in multiple projectiles, which drastically reduces the strength of each fireball if you're choosing to only aim one of them at your target.

As for strategies, concealing your hand seals is a big one you can do due to being able to release these techniques and continue to perform more techniques while they are still travelling. I suppose the best thing to do would be create something which can be perfectly concealed, like a Spear of Lightning to pierce through the fireball. Another could be the use of something like Swamp of the Underground to prevent them from moving, which would be especially useful for such techniques like Hellfire Technique. Using such techniques together would not only trap them while they try to defend against the fire, but in doing so the "bursting maelstrom" would superheat the swamp, almost causing them to burn alive in hot mud.

Spot on with nearly everything!

You missed the target with the disadvantages in the first part. The span of time in which the techniques are released is not the issue, it's the issue of not being able to control the techniques after you release them. As you said in the advantages they are quick release, that is both an advantage and disadvantage. The second thing you mentioned about the division of the techniques was 100% The more projectiles you divide in a technique, the weaker they are individually. You seem to have a good grasp on everything. I mean you are an experienced RPer. Now onto the next stage
_____________

Method 2: Fire Streams/Constant Fires

Think of a flamethrower, you shoot out a constant flame, non-stop which generally gets wider as the flame extends more and towards the center where the flames are coming out is where the flame is the strongest. Now not all techniques in this category are like that but you get the general idea with this basic explanation. Typically there is little shape manipulation required as you're releasing a stream of uncontrolled flames. In terms of building chakra for this method it's a little different than in the previous method. With projectiles the user gathers all their chakra into one central focus point and releases the chakra all in one burst or divided in several bursts of compact fire chakra with its own set of energy. With techniques in this method, the users builds up the required chakra and releases and then simply releases it in a steady flow outwards towards their target and they maintain that steady flow until the chakra they've built up for the technique is no longer there. This means that techniques using this method has its power spread out evenly throughout the large flame as opposed to several individualized burst of chakra that have their own capabilities.

There are other types of constant fires that don't fit within this flamethrower analogy. There are a few techniques in this method that allow for one to freely manipulate the flames in the direction that they travel. These techniques would typically possess shape manipulation properties, confining the area in which the flames hits and moving the flames around in different directions and constructing shapes. There are even cases where several constant fire streams are divided, traveling towards a single point where the flames would converge into a much larger flame.

When using basic constant streams typically the process would be
~Gather the amount of chakra needed for the technique
~channel it up to the point of release
~Release in a constant stream of flames until the chakra runs out

Depending on the type of stream, you may need to place in there
~Confine the flames to a certain width
~use shape manipulation to alter the shape or direction of the flame's travel

Questions?

Release a constant stream of fire
Create a stream of fire that converges in a circle around your opponent
Create a stream of fire guided on wires
