I've been thinking on how this arc could fit into the main storyline and what might happen afterwards for a while now, although it will probably still take quite some time until that happens.

One Piece Chapter 775 - The start of the Reverie

Pg 1+2 :[Holy Land Mari Joa]
Neptune and Fukaboshi are heading towards the king’s conference.
Fukaboshi: “Don’t you think it’s too dangerous to leave Shirahoshi at the boat?”
Neptune: “I would be more worried if we were to leave her alone at Fishman Island and don’t forget these people are our allies, it’s not because of them that we were unable to become a member of the government!”
WG official: “..and from Fishmen Island, looking to become a member of our beloved organization: King Neptune and his son Fukaboshi!”
Neptune and Fukaboshi are shown entering the hall where the king’s conferences are hold. The reactions are mixed: several of the kings are shown whispering with each other, others, including Wapol, wary and others including Cobra and Vivi are looking rather interested.
Pg3: [Room of the gorousei]
Young gourosei (talking on a den-den-mushi): “Are you sure about this? Is he really telling the truth?”
Unknown person : “ He looks scared and he is in a worse state than this island. In this kind of state people usually don’t come up with lies like that….”
Young gorousei: “Very well. Deliver him to us alive at any cost, Fujitora, this is a mission of highest importance!”
Fujitora: “Understood!”
Pg 4+5:
Other gourosei: “This is surely troublesome….. At this very day Fishman Island was supposed to become a fully-fledged member of the World Government. What a pity….”
Gourosei: “We can still act after the reverie is over and after we can confirm if this source was actually speaking the truth…..”
Gourosei: “There is no time for that! Until then the Reverie will be over and the ancient weapon will return to Fishman Island, a turf filled with pirates and a former turf of two of the emperors! Even if it is just a low possibility, we can’t afford one of them gaining an ancient weapon at any cost!”
Young gourosei: “Well said. We have no choice, we have to act as quickly as possible! (yelling) Sent after the Fleet Admiral! He shall appear before us in an instant!”
Pg6+7: [Dressrosa]
Law: “Damn you Mugiwara-ya! Why didn’t you finish him off like I told you! Joker is way too dangerous to let him go wherever he pleases!”
Luffy(completely beat up and unable to move): “ Shut up! I don’t like to finish other people off like that! And he
was out cold before I passed out anyways!”
Sanji: “I bet he just crawled somewhere to hide….”
Usopp: “What kind of threat is he still supposed to be anyways? We beat him and his henchmen, didn’t we?”
Pg8:
Law: “If he gets away and tells our plans the wrong people, we will be in a world of trouble…”
Nami: “Huh? How does this guy know anything of our plans, anyways?” (Law points towards Luffy)
Nami (hitting Luffy with her staff): “You moron!”
Chopper: “Ahhh! Stop this Nami, I’m trying to treat him!”
Sanji, Zoro (at the same time): “Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one who thinks things through here…”
(glaring at each other): “Huh? What did you say stupid marimo/cook?”
(yelling at each other): “You wanna fight or what?!!!”
Usopp: “All of you are morons……”
Pg9+10:
Franky (running towards the other SHs): “Guys we have problem!”
Usopp: “Did something happen to the ship? Or did someone steal ace’s devil frui?t”
Franky: “No, the ship and the fruit are fine. But I’ve seen this bird guy, running through the air while he carried Caesar.”
Law: “! Damn you Joker! Room!”
Doflamingo: (looking as beat up as Luffy, running through the sky while carrying Caesar) “Fufufufufu! This ain’t over yet, Law! With Caesar, I will be able to get my title back and the one who is going to feel Kaidou’s wrath will be you!
Fufufufufu!”
Pg11 [Back to Law and the SHs]:
Law: “Damnit he is already out of my reach! This is bad! Joker is trying to use Caesar to get his title back and to get protection from the government! He intends to make Kaidou target us instead of him!”
Nami, Usopp, Chopper: “Ehhhhhhh?!?”
Sanji: “I knew using Caesar as bait for Doflamingo was not a good idea. We should have left him at the ship and charged into Dressrosa despite Doflamingo being there.”
Law: “This was the only way to force Joker to leave the Shichibukai! And if Mugiwara-ya finished off Joker, like he said he would, everything would have gone according to our plan. But as soon as Kaidou will hear what happened here, we will be the ones being in a world of trouble!”
Zoro: “Didn’t we want to go after Kaidou anyways? So what’s the problem?”
Law: “Without Caesar our strategy won’t work out! And without the strategy we won’t stand a chance against Kaidou’s armies.”
Sanji: “This leaves only one option…..”
Pg12:
Law: “Yes. You guys have to go after Joker and retrieve Caesar. I have to meet up with my crew to prepare everything.”
Usopp: “But how are we supposed to follow him? We don’t know where he is heading!”
Law: “Joker will be heading to Mari Joa, the seat of the World Government. He has pretty good connections there.”
Robin: “So our two options are either to face the full wrath of an emperor or try to sneak into the best guarded place in this world…”
Usopp: “How can you be so calm while saying this?!?”
Pg13:
Nami: “I vote for the second option! We just have to take Caesar back and make a run for it, don’t we?” (Usopp and Chopper nod in agreement)
Law, Zoro, Sanji (looking in direction to the coast): “!”
Robin: “It won't be this easy. Currently the kings of the Government’s member countries are visiting the Reverie at Mari Joa. This means this place will be guarded even more heavily than usual. All of the highest ranked marine officers will be there too.”
Pg14+15:
Luffy: “Then we'll go and take Caesar back! And if I meet a certain someone there, even better….”
Law: “So it’s settled. But we have to act quickly! Doctor, get mugiwara-ya on the ship and finish the treatment there, you guys have to follow Joker immediately! And mugiwara-ya, I recommend you don’t get caught in any unnecessary fights! ”
Nami: “But how are we supposed to navigate to Mari Joa? We have no eternal Log or anything to find it! And how are we supposed to get on top of the redline and to the city without anyone noticing us?”
Franky: “Don’t worry! There is no wall or land the sunny won’t be able to conquer!”
Nami: “We still don’t know how to get there…”
?: “I can lead you there, if you want.”
Pg16:
Luffy, Usopp, Franky: “Jinbe!”
Jinbe: “I’ve read everything in the newspaper and figured you guys might need help.”
Law: “We gotta hurry everyone! We’ll split up right here but I expect you at Zou in two weeks time! I’m entrusting them to you Jinbei!”
Jinbe: “Understood.”
Luffy: “Yosh everyone! Let’s go!”
Zoro: “You can’t even walk…..”
Pg17+18[Back to Mari Joa, the Gourosei’s room]
Young Gourosei: “ Remember, this has to go down as smoothly as possible! I expect you to gain control of Poseidon before the conference is over. At the same time we’ll try to delay the end of the conference and tell Neptune that they already headed back to Fishman Island. Failure won’t be tolerated, the World Government has to gain control of this ancient weapon!”

Sakazuki: “What happens to Poseidon once we gained control of it? The way you described its power it would fit perfectly to make my fleet even more powerful.”
Other gourosei: “Hmm, we’ll see about that. However I agree, with this weapon the marines could finally aim to end this era of piracy.”
Young Gourosei: “Yes, Poseidon will become a part of your army of Justice, Sakazuki IF everything goes according to plan today!”
Sakazuki: “Understood!” (turns around and leaves with a smile on his face)
