The whole push up thing is because women are weaker than men. Sorry, but it is a biological fact with humans. At least, it is the norm.

BR00 Please .. Don't be a sexist U_U ..

This is the very problem. People illogically call the acknowledgement of natural gender roles and distinctions sexist.

That's his point. Men are stronger, and women want to be equal. But they're naturally weaker so they will never be equal in a physical sense.

So many childish minds on this forum.
[EDIT] To stay on topic, I feel women should have the ability to join in combat if they so desire, but it shouldn't be forced.
[EDIT2] To get more specific, a women should be able to join in combat if she has the same physical and mental prowess of a male joining the military. If she doesn't live up to their standards, she's a hindrance and could potentially cost lives. Of course, that goes with everyone.

If someone is less physically able then they will only risk the lives of others within a unit during intense combat... which is why they should have the same passing standards for press ups etc.
They should be allowed but with the same passing standards

just because women do less push-ups(or any other reason) doesn't mean we have no right to serve our country in war.

You can have the right to serve your country, but physical requirements should be the same. Whether that means making them easier for men or harder for women, I have no preference.

What the heck does the number of push ups have anything to do with war ? Women aren't as physically strong as men, in the norm. That says nothing about their ability to handle a gun, or strategic ability in combat.

But you just said women are naturally weaker than men. It wouldn't be fair to make their physical requirements the same.

Honestly, I believe in equal rights for both.

The only problem is, there are MANY but not ALL women who say they want equal rights, but when it comes to being hit, they cry about it.

Likewise, at least here in America, men tend to make more money.

The laws against domestic violence here in America are WAYYYY too pro-women. I mean, I feel like they should be pro-women, but not totally ruling against the man when cases of violence come up due to a few reasons.

I'll be honest, I grew up in a household where my crazy ass foreign father hit my mother. No, not trying to get sympathy or criticism, but the point is I agree that women need a bit more protection than men.

Likewise though, I've seen two cases where women should NOT get the protection.

Once in a while, a man and women will get into an argument and the man will start to walk away. Oftentimes, a really immature woman will follow after said man and keep yelling after him. Then, she cries when she gets smacked.

1. The man is walking away from you, meaning no longer a threat. Do not CHASE after the threat.
2. Oftentimes, said woman ENTICES man to hit her so she can call the police and get her revenge by throwing his ass in jail.

Another case is, a woman can completely LIE about being beaten or raped by a man and the man goes to jail/prison and has his life taken away from him. Chances are, his family no longer likes him if he actually came from a decent family, and two his career future is taken away from him.

Men are stronger than women, and tend to have hotter tempers plus we are more psychologically disposed to an ego which makes us more perpetrators, but something needs to be done against false claims of violence and/or enticing men to hit you so you can get twisted revenge when he at least TRIED to leave.

In middle school, I remember when girls used to kick guys in the balls because they thought it was "funny". That's a bad behavior to carry when you're older.

In terms of women being in combat?

Well, a woman has four fingers and a thumb just as a man does. They can hold a gun and I know many women who work well in the army.

The fact that women are more empathetic than men makes them good comrades if they can control their sensitive side during the heat of war, which is what military training does.

That was just the example I used. The test has multiple fitness categories, and nearly all of them favor women.

The inferiority complex is strong in you I see.
True, physical strenght is a trait of men and women tend to be weaker in situations that push the limits of the human body. But lets be real. It's the army.Main combact is conducted with weapons and not hand to hand. Not to mention about strategy, planning etc. Also, there are other things that you need to pass in the army, like psychological tests that measure your ability to stay focused and act in times of crisis, make good judgements, being able to lead, assist etc, etc.Things, that women seem to be equal with men if not better. So apart from the physical strength, soldiers are supposed to have other traits too.
By your logic, you men have the strength but we women, as nurtures and mothers, know how to take care of others, make good judgements for the survival of the people we take care of,fight for their wellbeing, organize a large amount of people and give responsibilities that seems to be fitting for them, advice and comfort others when they are in need and even more simple things, like prepare food and make a descent living place (things that most men seem to be incapable of doing even under circumstances of need). All the above mentioned are traits a soldier who goes in battle should have to survive and help his team survive too.Things that are supposed to be traits of women and not men by the racial discrimination you choose to make.So I say they are pretty useful.

Picture it this way. Would you give the same test of physical capability to a house cat, as you would with a leopard ?

I'm specifically talking about combat roles. Those traits are much more inclined towards a job outside of it. I feel like you're agreeing with me but you think you're disagreeing...
