Why are the writers so insistent on making Sakura relevant in the Naruto/Sasuke story

I haven't posted here in a while but I had to be back to post about how bad they botched this.

I'm not a Sakura hater, I am happy she is getting a power up and getting a character push. But this is the worst possible timing to push her character. Right now they should have her step aside and let us finally see the long awaited Naruto/Sasuke reunion without her involvement. This is the time for the two main characters. When Ryu and Ken united at the end of street fighter to fight Bison you don't have Chun Li get involved in the fight. Or when Superman and Batman unite to face the Joker and Lex, you don't have freaking Batgirl suddenly join the fight. Or when Goku and Vegeta unite to fight Buu you didn't have Videl join the fight. There's a time and place for everything and right now wasn't Sakura's time. This was Naruto and Sasuke's broski reunion moment that the fans waited for years and she's taking center stage. Horrible.

But you've gotta be really dense to not know that an underlying theme of this series has been Naruto and Sasuke's brotherhood. The Naruto and Sasuke reunion is THE single most built up part of this series. That's what the show has been leading to since Sasuke fought Naruto on the Hospital rooftop.

I did felt pissed somewhat that Sakura joined in. I was actually excited that Naruto and Sasuke by themselves would start showing their shit until that happen. Kinda like an Army of Two thing if you ask me.

The main theme of this manga, ever since Part 2 was the reunion of Team 7. Now i might be wrong but Naruto + Sasuke does not equal team 7. Naruto+Sasuke+Sakura make team 7. That was the point Kishi was trying to make, even tho those 2 are stronger than her, she still completes Team 7. Everyone expected her to stay on sidelines, however by her not staying, she proved she is worth standing by Naruto and Sasuke in their final battle. I mean she is a goddamn main character, saying you want her sidelined in the final battle is almost as bad as bashing

That's what you've chosen to interpret and gather out of all this. Anyone's interpretation =/= what it actually is about.
I could say the underlying theme of the story in the second part has been Obito spreading the Uchiha's curse of hatred (foreshadowed by having the Kakashi gaiden just before part 2 started) with Sasuke being the one to overcome and defeat it. Naruto is just a supporting character in that story. And yet it wouldn't be the real story that everyone should agree on.
Nobody can say what any story is about, not even the writers if one supports Death of the Author (which everyone should, IMO). Every story is about what you want to get from it.

That's absolutely not the case. Sakura ALWAYS disappeared during the major Naruto/Sasuke moments. When Naruto and Sasuke worked together to beat Zabuza's water clone and save Kakashi what was Sakura doing? Naruto and Sasuke advanced to the main matches in the chuunin exams. Naruto and Sasuke were sought after by Akatsuki and Orochimaru, respectively. Naruto and Sasuke would always have the deep intense confrontations starting from after Naruto beat Gaara when Sasuke failed to. The same level of intensity was never portrayed in the relationship between either Naruto/Sakura or Sasuke/Sakura. This story is about Naruto and Sasuke's brotherhood. Sakura accompanies them time to time but always takes a back seat during the major moments. But starting from the Kage Summit arc they decided to interject her much more than they should have done. She's a third wheel there. She looks like a fish out of the water next to them. and I am not even a Sakura hater, she can have a big power up and surpass Tsunade, but not during the Naruto/Sasuke reunion that we've been waiting on for years.

I am all for a team 7 reunion. But the writers made it clear that Naruto + Sasuke is the major recurring plot of the show. Most of the openings for the Naruto anime have a Naruto/Sasuke staredown of some sort, many artworks they put on the mangas in the first pages have Naruto/Sasuke confrontation. The story is about those two. As Obito said during the 5 kage summit, fire and hatred, senju and uchiha, Naruto and Sasuke. Sakura is left out entirely of most of the Naruto/Sasuke build up, and there's a good reason for that. I like Sakura, she has a time and a place, but this just isn't it.

This stroy revolves around the best two shinobi in the time, Naruto and Sasuke. Now that Sasuke wants to become Hokage, it's about their competition to become Hokage. Get Sakura the **** outta here.

I agree to some extent but there can't be a team 7 reunion if she's not a part of it..Even though the story has always revolved around Naruto and Sasuke's brotherhood she was there also from the beginning as well it be only fitting she took part at least in this battle..Idk everyone has their views on it I'm jus glad the story is moving along till we get more flashbacks

She's the main heroine and she's part of team 7. Plus they were all trained by the legendary 3 as well.
