Part of a Large Art, made all of the lines and curves with a brush that I also made.

Submitted this one for last weeks SOTW. Lost I suspect because I had to size it down so much from the Large Art that it was hard to read and the detail was lost. Did all of the text effects, water effects...pretty much everything inclusing the wood backdrop and screws I worked on.

the first is nice ^_^

the text tag is what I really liked, but it lacks depth =\

the third one has too much "glitters", no flow, no depth, blending is ok

the Rikku one is messed up, too much effects on it, no flow, no depth

text tag isn't supposed to have long range depth. Only small amounts of depth to keep the focus on the detail work. The detail work of having certain letters behind others with waves coming through between is all the depth it's supposed to have.

third, yeah, started with a lower quality stock which kinda killed me. The big center square is actually a continuation down the street of the wall she's sitting on, but because of the LQ it's hard to see unless you've seen the original which hurts it.

on the last i have to disagree with you about the flow. flow to me isn't fluid smudging or something like that. To me it's how you arrange effects so nothing is totally isolated (i.e. one effect carries you eye to another effect through the sig). Since it's vetical, the immediate foreground is toward the bottom, the hexagons, your eyes follow up the lines through the body to the face and the tangent line off the shoulder and hexagons bring the flower effects in. I'm not going to argue with the too many effects because I know that's personal preference and I'll respect your opinion. On the depth, it has some depth, just not a ton taking your eye far away..until you get to the sky that is. I like the effects and depth and flow as is though
