Is Gai physically the strongest character? and possibly the fastest?

You are forgetting one major down fall though if Gai doesn't land Hirudora which for argument's sake I will say he's against either BM Naruto or Minato he's left exhausted and defenceless which = certain death I believe both Minato and Naruto have what it takes to dodge considering Kisame isn't known specifically for his speed you can't compare him getting caught by the technique to those two.

I agree, Gai is the strongest in the manga when he is in his 7 gates. His punching speed may be as well, but saying his movement speed is quicker then Minato's, Naruto's, and A's is fallacious. Nothing has indicated this, and saying it's true due to mere speculation is ignorant. From what we know, Minato was the fasters, he died, A became the fastest, Naruto dodged his punch, he became the fastest. These are the only facts about speed Kishi has presented, thus will be used as evidence of A and Minato being faster, let alone Naruto.

I agree with this guy... Only reason Kisame lost is because he didn't try to dodge the attack. He assumed the attack was chakra and his Epic chakra eating shark would absorb it.

Oh LOL there talking about on the anime when Tsunade crushed the rock after kabuto and orochimaru escaped from her in that ally. Im not sure if thats canon or not but Since she is Senju ill give the benefit of doubt and say she is stronger

Gai would beat him again and again ,why? because he is Kisame's worst match up .Morning peacock would kill him either way as it killed his 30 % CHAKRA clone , it had the same stamina and strength as Kisame . Regarding this thread uhm.... He is like the perfect combination of speed and strength.

It's a fact that Minato is faster than Guy because Kishimoto gave him that title. There's not much more facts than that. Also, FTG is a space-time jutsu. The definition of speed is distance you travel divided by the time it takes you to get there. This means that FTG counts as speed.

It is clear that you do not understand physics at all if this was your arguement.

FTG is a TELEPORTAION TECHNIQUE, which means that the time in the equation will equal 0. That makes the entire equation UNDEFINED making it not classifable as speed. PERIOD.

Speed is the measurement of kinetic motion and while Minato is very fast in base, most people only refer to his "speed" as being his transportation method which allows his to get to anywhere faster than anyone else, which isn't the true scientific definition of speed which is what is being referred to right now.

As for Naruto. He didn't narrowly dodge A's fist.

If you look closely, you'll find that Naruto waited for his fist to get close and then went much faster than A. If he was only slightly faster than A, he couldn't have dodged his fist when it was inches away from connecting. The fact that he dodged something that close shows that he utterly outclasses A in speed.

Again, this is where simple physics comes into play. The raikage was watching Naruto and was able to time his movements to intercept Naruto at a certain point. Naruto was able to barely notice it, but because f it he was able to temporarily increase his speed slightly to throw off the raikages timing and avoid the punch.

There is nothing that even mentions or suggests that Naruto was any faster than the raikage.

Gai has only used Hirudora in situations where he is immobile. He couldn't just fly towards Kisame underwater. Neither could he run at Madara while being suspended up in the air, wrapped by one of the mokuton vines. I don't think he'd use a ranged Hirudora if he was fresh and had to the opportunity to fight in melee range.

7th gate Gai would do unfathomable damage at close range. Let alone the 8th....

8th Gate ANYONE trumps EVERYONE you should all know this by now. The 8th gate is a double edged sword for a reason. In seventh gate Gai could destroy a village, just as Pain did with almighty push, AND still be able to fight. Everyone over looks how strong the gates are. When he says you can obtain things stronger than the Kages he means it. Its Canon. If a main character is gunna die he'll go out in a boom and Kishi will enforce this until his death.

Some people clearly didn't read the thread, don't know physics, or just slow. Physics speak for themselves and tht why I made this thread, Gai is very likely the strongest and fastest and should not be underestimated.

please provide proof or don't post. And don't say, "its common knowledge" either because it isn't.
