Is Gai physically the strongest character? and possibly the fastest?

^ This is the perfect example of someone who didn't look at the thread and really analyze the question. Better yet he/she probably jumped on the bandwagon in saying that Guy is not as fast/strong as other people without explaining why.

Okay, let's solve this.

Gai is -not- the fastest in Gates since Minato and Naruto are fastest.

Being the -strongest- is debatable, but remember a Gate-less Gai was destroying large rocks with his nunchuks, tearing them to bits.

I would say he is above Tsunade seeing as how his fist creates a giant tiger.

He is definitely the faster when it comes to attack frequency, meaning he can launch 100 fists by the time Naruto launched one.

Lets see how does Minato get from place to place? oh yea TELEPORTATION, meaning he is not physically the fastest according to the definition of speed which is what is being represented here.

Everyone assumes that Naruto is the fastest based on what we have seen with the raikage and the TBB, when in actuality, Narutos speed is likely not that much faster than the raikage himself, considering he NARROWLY avoided the raikages fist. After than BM mode would hardly give him that much more speed because all he is doing is melding his chakra with Kuramas to make it stronger.

BTW this isn't BASE Guy we are talking about, its GATES Guy.

The only thing mentioned is that Minato is the fastest because he can TELEPORT, not because of SPEED. Can you prove that Naruto is faster than Guy? Based off of deductive reasoning, I ahave already proven how Guy would be faster than even Narto

I noticed people even said that naruto is faster because he deflected tbb's. But, Guy was about to do the exact same thing; Naruto just swooped in while he was still self-debating whether to enter gates or not.

To be honest, we can't gauge neither Naruto nor Guy's speed. However, you should consider this. Morning peacock and daytime tiger are both things that he can only use once. This means that normally, he can't make his attacks that fast or powerful. And while he was debating about doing the same thing as Naruto, he stated that it would require the 8th gate. That would kill him.

It's a fact that Minato is faster than Guy because Kishimoto gave him that title. There's not much more facts than that. Also, FTG is a space-time jutsu. The definition of speed is distance you travel divided by the time it takes you to get there. This means that FTG counts as speed.


As for Naruto. He didn't narrowly dodge A's fist.

If you look closely, you'll find that Naruto waited for his fist to get close and then went much faster than A. If he was only slightly faster than A, he couldn't have dodged his fist when it was inches away from connecting. The fact that he dodged something that close shows that he utterly outclasses A in speed.

he said it's the fastest punch that could suggest he is the fastest character when in 7 gates(no S/T). and a 1 hit kill, the air from the punch alone (which known as Hirudora)was able get through a massive body of water. If Gai was to go 7th gate an use CQC could anyone survive? Imagine what a kick is like from Gai we have not even seen him run in 7 gates. Kishi hasn't shown Gai fight in 7 gates other than vs Kisame for 1 second has he? IDK I'm starting to think 7 gate Gai is almost unstoppable. 8th gate is gonna be so OP it might just make Madara look like a noob. Why do you think Kishi put him out the village when Pain invaded?
