Whenever someone is dicussing a battle with a jinchuriki you cant help but think how good of a ninja would they be without the tailed beast. Many people do not even consider the ninja as one entity and therefore they cant possibly "solo." So lets see what side we should take on this.
For the notion
There are two different minds within this one person as we have seen. The tailed beast might be giving directions to the host in which case the host doesnt deserve credit for "soloing". There are two different chakra sources. Not only does the user have access to his chakra he has access to the tailed beasts vast chakra. So are two different chakra reserves considered one?(not likely). Tailed beasts have saved the user in the past.
Against the notion
The jinchuriki utilizes the tailed beast chakra with they're own. If a tailed beast counts as an added element to the user's arsenal how come weapons such as samehda aren't considered as another entity. People who weren't born with their abilities such as kakashi and his sharingan should also be stripped of their powers and not be considered for solo threads as well. It takes skill to control a tailed beasts in the first place so they are deserving of credit in their battles.
Conclusion. It was a hard desicion for me but i had to go with the first option. Jinchuriki cannot solo. Its not because the tailed beast can save them or watever its because you can actually seperate them into TWO different characters. They have TWO different chakra reserves, TWO different minds, and in a sense they have TWO different bodies. They can go full tailed beast mode and then when the tailed beast gets tired they go back to their own form. Kakashi's eye cannot stand on its own it is not a seperate entity with a seperate mind. If having a tailed beast was more along these lines i would say they should be considered as one person, but a fact no one can deny is a jinchuriki is two people.
